Louie just wants to have fun

I am a mature, conscientious, literate GM.

OK, well, honestly, I'm a broken-down, old, mediocre GM. But not the worst you've ever seen.

Not long ago, I was in more leagues than I could handle (three ). Now, what with one thing and another, I find myself underemployed as a GM.

I'd like to take on one more team in a historical or fictional league. Current-roster leagues are not to my taste. I don't need a good team; I don't mind winning, but the fun and camaraderie are more important to me.

Any friendly little leagues out there looking for a GM?

("You think that was too much? Was I puffing myself up too much?")

Any league that you join Louie will be lucky to have you.

I enjoyed being part of the WBL with you and always took great interest in your writeups on the Glads.

Good luck in your search for new teams.

I have some openings in a league that is just starting up in 1915. We will be drafting all the Federal League players that are not on a team. If you would like to join e-mail me at grindz@csikids.org or catch me on AIM@grindmachine5000.

Here, here! Louie is the best of good fellows. James says it all by stating any league would be very lucky to have Louie as GM.

Good to see that things have calmed down a bit in your neck of the woods, Louie.

Oh, by the way, you have a PM.

...do league's that are so far in the future that few real players remain count?

If they did, I know where I'd go.

Seriously, guys, thanks so much to all those who IM'd and emailed me. I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I have taken a team in For Love of the Game, the league with the unwieldy name and the uniquely intriguing scenario that is now organizing. The setup really piqued my interest; I have high hopes for the league.

I am considering squeezing a third league into the time I have available. I have a couple definitely in mind, but I haven't quite decided which way I want to go.

What's amazing is that there are so many fine leagues out there that would be willing to put up with the likes of me. With some people starting new leagues every 2.8 minutes or so, I thought there must have been billions of GMs available

Thanks again.

I'm sorry Louie, but you are required to give 120% of your time to For Love of the Game, therefore you are not allowed to have any other leagues jk
