No problem, EC. Use them or don't use them as you like and all, then. I won't be offended if you don't, of course. But I do think they look really nice here, just the same, in any case. CD out.

I haven't downloaded your new Southport uniforms yet, but I will either tonight or tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a snow day and I'll be off from work, so I'll have plenty of time. I'll think of what I want for South Fork and let you know. If you don't want to do a 49ers style uniform, that's ok. I was just floating an idea.

EC, if it's not too much for me to ask here, could you please post what you currently have graphics-wise for Sligo, Denton City, South Fork, and Rolling Hills, at least? It would likely help me considerably as I try to put my own spins on those teams here, I think, either for myself or for jg2977, at least. Thank you. CD out.

Also, you said you may want to have other teams updated as well. But if you don't want to post new threads for a while, for the reason or reasons you stated before, then just tell me which teams you may want updates for here, and post the relevant graphics here, please. Okay, EC? Then I can see what I can do for you, seeing as I'm not currently having any real success with my various writing projects, unfortunately. CD out.

Do as you like, then, EC. I see you have strips of those uniforms above here, but I was looking for the actual file-type pictures, so that I could perhaps download them, or at least see them one picture at a time, that's all. Thank you for your time and attention and friendship and all here, as always, of course. CD out.

To be completely honest with you here, I'd rather be writing, but right now, it seems I've been somewhat stuck, at least for the most part, with at least a few of my stories, unfortunately, EC. So I've been doing many more graphics for quite some time, of course, at the very least.
I know the stories will come as they come, Lord willing and all, of course. But it's still rather frustrating at times when they're not coming to me as quickly and all as I might hope and want and all, you see. I have this growing concern, I think, that Lighting Up the Darkness, for instance, may not be completely done by the time I turn fifty next year, in terms of me finishing its last draft and getting it published somehow, whether as an E-book or not. I hope I'm wrong, obviously, but right now, it looks like that story's not going to get there for quite a while yet, to be sure. Talk more later, as time permits and all, I hope, then, EC. Lord willing and all, you know, of course. CD out.

I think that Denton City looks fantastic and doesn't need any updating. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I guess I have a different South Fork set than the one that EC is currently using. I like his current version better than mine - it looks more modern and clean. Last edited by jg2977; 02-24-2022 at 12:18 PM. |

Okay, but I still want to see if I can do them as well, seeing as the Cardinals are often called the Redbirds, you know. And you both know that the Cardinals are my favorite MLB team, and have been since I was very young, with Bruce Sutter being my all-time favorite MLB Cardinals and overall player, after all.
I am unfortunately too young to remember Musial, as well. But even so, I'd definitely consider him one of the top five Cardinals of all time, for sure. As for Pujols, of all the Cardinals I've probably ever seen play, I'd likely have to put him in my top five or ten, at least. I'm not sure who else I would put in my top five or top ten list of my favorite Cardinals of all time, at the moment, but I'd definitely have to put Sutter at number one, and Pujols somewhere within my top ten, if not my top five, at this point in time. jg2977, you are now completing the 75th season of your version of the IPA. I was thinking of trying to help you out, seeing as 1976 will be the 75th anniversary of your IPA's start, you see. Not only that, 1976 was America's Bicentennial year, as well. I thought it might be interesting to see what could be done with several teams with those thoughts in mind here for me, at the very least. Talk more later as time permits and all, of course, Lord willing and all, you know. Thank you both for your time and attention here, then.

So far, here's what else I believe you would like for teams to be updated year-by-year, updates-wise, then, jg2977. Please correct me where I'm wrong, if you like and can, then, or change the TBD as desired and all:
1976: Sligo Rovers, South Fork Stallions, Rolling Hills Racers 1977: TBD 1978: TBD 1979: TBD 1980: TBD In any case, I do hope to update Denton City, nevertheless, if at all possible, even if neither of you actually use what I might create for them here, of course. Obviously, I hope you do, but that's entirely up to either or both of you, you know. I may go with a more traditional style for Denton City than I normally would for most teams, but we'll have to see about that, just the same, for sure. Let's see where the Lord leads me to go with them, and then go from there as needed and desired and all here. Who knows, maybe we might both just surprise you and or anyone else here with what is produced, you know. CD out.

By the time I have all the currently-desired teams done, I hope to have some player profiles created for you to choose from. At least two will be Freemans, but not all. I'm thinking for every Freeman created, they'd have a rival. I was hoping to create four Freemans around the time that AG and GC started in your IPA, but that obviously didn't pan out for us here in it. And rivals for each of them, as well. That's probably the plan I'm going to implement in at least my Good Times League-related dynasty, or am in the process of implementing already.
I myself got out of high school in 1992. So I'll probably suggest another player for you to begin with somewhere around that time frame, or a few years afterwards. I never really took any college courses when I was much younger than I am now, for whatever possible reason or reasons, so perhaps another alter ego for me in this league could then perhaps begin playing in your IPA somewhere between 1993 and 1997, more or less, I think. How many Freemans are you willing to take, perhaps? Please let me know, jg2977. I'll try to have new Sligo Rovers and Rolling Hills Racers items up as soon as I can. South Fork may take a bit of thought about here, though. Any particular wishes for a map or maps, if I were to make one, for your version of the IPA? Of course, it certainly would have to look at least a bit different than EC's IPA-related map. But depending on just what you would like on it, and just how detailed you might want it to be, perhaps I can make you at least one map for your IPA, if not more than one. Please let me know. Once I know how many new Freemans to create, I'll create the same number of potential rivals for them. When each approved player gets put into your IPA, please try to keep their starting values as proposed, as much as possible, if you don't mind too much. Even if they don't start out as apparent Hall of Fame-caliber candidates in terms of starting potential, that is, I'd still like them to stay as close to what I'd propose for them to start. You see, I'd like to see if they can be better than expected according to their starting ratings, if you play with development on, that is. Let's make things a bit more challenging for them than was likely the case for GC and AG earlier, when they started playing, okay? Thank you for your time and all here, then, jg2977. I'll have the chosen teams done as soon as I can, I'm sure. Hopefully, I'll be able to have them all done by this time next week, at the very latest, somehow. But we'll have to see what happens here with each of those teams, of course. CD out.

My map would have to be different than EC's IPA. I have the New Yerby Yankees in the Ruthlandian Union East Division, and the New Yerby Mets in the Tycobbian Union East Division. If you look at EC's map, no matter where you place New Yerby that wouldn't work.
I imagine my IPA as being set up like MLB, where the Ruthlandian Union and Tycobbian Union are akin to the American League and National League. Teams in both leagues can be in the East, Central or West. So I want my map to be based on that idea in a fictional country. I'll take a couple more Freemans. I want to create a Freeman of my own as well - that would be Freddie Freeman (of the Atlanta Braves). I also want the created players to have ethnic names from all over the world - I like Nordic, German, and Slavic names. Hebrew names would be great too. After the 1975 season I'll work on reducing the ratings for all of my created players - it was fun for a while but now that they're too dominant, and only a handful of teams have a chance of sniffing a title, playing out the games isn't as interesting as it once was. Parity and the unexpectedness of who will win makes it fun. Last edited by jg2977; 02-24-2022 at 05:35 PM. |

Okay, you have four divisions in each subleague with ten teams each, at present. How many cities/local areas have multiple teams in them at present? Only New Yerby, or are there others besides New Yerby with multiple teams in their cities/local areas? Please advise.
What about fantasy names for players? What do you want to call your fictional nation or nations for your IPA version, if you don't want to use the same names that EC uses for his IPA's nation or nations, ultimately? Would you be willing to add any of my fictional nations to your relevant dynasty, with the appropriate city names, et cetera, perhaps, by the 1990s in your IPA? IF so, please let me know as well. Would you prefer more traditional styles of looks for Rolling Hills or would it be all right if I perhaps play around a little with them here? Same thing for the other teams listed above, of course. Denton City in at least one of my non-public IPA and/or public Eudageron Baseball Federation versions will be called the Tremors, but probably not all of them. I will try and see what I can come up with for them in relation to the Redbirds moniker, at least, as well, but whether what I come up with for them suits you or EC, if not both, we'll just have to see what happens here, of course. Thank you for your time and all here, then, jg2977. Hope to hear back from you again very soon, of course, regarding the above questions and all, for sure. CD out.

Rolling Hills Racers uniforms so far
Let's see what you think of these, jg2977 and/or EC. Hopefully, somehow, you'll like at least one or two of these items enough to perhaps use them, of course. I don't have caps made up for them yet, of course, but depending on your thoughts here, I can certainly make some matching caps for them or other potential options here, you know.
The font currently used on these uniforms is called Laughing and Smiling, and the color codes currently in question here for them are as follows: ffeedb Antique White (255, 238, 219) 044389 Yale Blue (4, 67, 137) ed9b40 Carrot Orange (237, 155, 64) If you like these, please let me know. If not, please do the same. Thank you. That is all. CD out.
