How would I go about customizing the rosters, lineups etc..

Hello, So I have a question or a few

I want to start up a new game, move all the rosters around to match exactly where they are today with all current moves. I also then want to update every teams projected lineups and rotations based on fangraphs. However once done i only want to play as one team.

how in the settings would I do this and can i do this while also editing players salaries to match real salaries?

Use commish mode. Force trades to set up rosters, then use edit to adjust salaries. If you manage one team, then the AI manager will set up lineups rotation, etc for their teams. Just like real life, as these change over the course of the season.

You can export the league rosters to an csv file and reassign players to new teams by editing in Excel. Then reimport into OOTP to move all players to new teams at once. I recently did this to my feeder leagues by moving all players from their existing teams to a team that was more regionally based (for regional draft feature). Exported three leagues into separate csv files, combined into one and reimported with new team assignments. Worked fine.

Lineups I don't know if you can set manually as each teams AI will take over once rosters are established.

Or wait till OOTP 23 comes out next month, it will have the updated rosters etc.

As Bobfather said, you can use commish mode to force trades, and then edit any other changes such as salaries, players claimed on waivers, free agent signings, etc. in the editor.

You can also set to not allow roster changes, and for you to control all teams. in which case you could set lineups for all teams, but sim all teams except for your own team. If you set for you to control teams the lineups would not change unless you did it manually. If you set control of the teams back to the AI, the AI likely will make its own moves and set the lineups

Actually depending on the status of the strike/lockout this will be interesting. Transactions have been frozen for weeks so there are still many free agents.

Have they even confirmed that yet? I mean by now would we not have had some upcoming release notes and such?

The initial announcement usually comes out in the last week of February. So no news right now isn't a bad sign. If we get into early March and haven't heard anything, then it's probably OK to start wondering what's going on.
