How to setup Custom Award?

Trying to add the Edgar Martinez Award for DHs to the game.

I can add this award under League Settings > Options, but that's pretty much it. Expected to get a screen or something afterwards where the award is going to be configured, criterias set and so on.
But I can't find anything like that.

The award shows up in the League History (no entries), but again nothing to set it up.
I mean, how can a custom award work when you can't tell the game who should win it? Am I overlooking something?

You can select the winner in the Award Voting after the season is over

So I'm choosing the winner myself manually?
Was hoping there would be some kind of setup to tell the game which criteria to use, and then OOTP would utilize that info to choose the winners in an automated process.
But choosing winners manually is still better than not having the award at all.

Awards are one those things that could use a little TLC.

No record is kept of Manager of the Year winners.

No record is kept of Play-off Series MVP's.

...Well, entire history section needs some TLC. A lot things not saved that could/should be.
