Request: 108G 40 Team 8x5
Looking for some help/requesting a 108 game schedule for 1 sub-league, 8 divisions of 5 teams each. 3 game series, Average 1 off day per week, and no all-star game.
Play each team in your division 12 times (1x4x12 = 48). Play each team in 4 of the other divisions 3 times (4x5x3=60). Appreciate any help |

Still hoping for some help on this. Is everyone using the custom schedule generator (is it easy to use?), or does the odd # of teams per division in this request make it a tough ask?

I requested a schedule about 10 days ago and haven't received a response either. Maybe no one is here doing them any more.
Or perhaps we didn't perform the appropriate ritual sacrifice.

Fishbreath's schedule generator doesn't work well with odd teams per division.

I'm not sure if our regular schedule-makers have packed it in. I'd like to help, but I don't make schedules - that's way beyond my capabilities. Instead, I just "translate" schedules from newspapers into OOTP format. So I'll just bump up this thread and hope that it catches the attention of someone who can help you guys out. |

My request certainly wasn't hard. It's a variation of the schedule OOTP can generate automatically. I just wanted the teams mixed up a bit so they didn't get scheduled in a repetitive order. It's not as fun to cycle through opponents in the same order all through the season. Unfortunately, that's what OOTP's auto-scheduler does.

I've asked for some odd schedule before, and always received help, so the delay here was surprising (& somewhat concerning - I hope those community members who have helped in the past are doing well). |

There is something wrong here...
What you suggest won't work. Play each team in the division 12 times (4 teams X 12 Games = 48) Then you probably mean Play each team in "3" other divisions 3 Times (15 teams X 3 Games = 45) for a total of 93 Games. If I understand your setup, you want your team to play inside your division and against 3 other division. Your team won't play against the remaining 4 divisions, am I right? So I suggest the following: Play each team in the division 12 times (4 teams X 12 Games = 48). Play each team in 1 other divisions 6 Times (5 teams X 6 Games = 30). Play each team in 2 remaining divisions 3 Times (10 teams X 3 Games = 30). Total is 108 Games. I can look into building this schedule if it is what you want. Here is the matrix showing the set up. |

However, I want to play each team in "4" other divisions 3 times. That should be 4 divisions, x 5 teams = 20 other teams, 3 games each = 60 games. 60+48 = 108 games total. I think that should work? Appreciate any help. |

Is this what you're thinking?
I can look into that. If it works, I can make a mirror image of the Schedule (so 2 schedules) to balance the "home" and "away" for each team. |

Here are the schedules There are 4 schedules to allow each team to at least meet 1 time (I have also included the matrix showing the matchups).
I have made 4 mirror images of the 4 schedules to allow "Away" games to become "Home" games. Here are the details: 40 team schedule, 108 games Designed for the following configuration: 1 subleague, with 8 division, with 5 teams 12 games against each team in the same division 3 games against all the team of 4 other divisions No cases of more than 6 straight days without offday No homestands or roadtrips longer than 15 games (except one team that plays a series of 18 games straight away or at home) Game times set at 7:05pm, Sunday at 1:05pm Season begins last Monday on or after May 7, Season thus ends mid/late September |

I realized this could be good for 2 Subleagues with Inter-League.
Here's the schedule pack. |

I came up with the following set up as well. I am not sure if it make real "geographic" sense in your Baseball world but it works!
