Upgrade to FHM 8 right from FHM 6?

I have had FHM 6 for a few years. Stopped playing for awhile because...well...just because, I go in streaks playing and then life. Anyway, I'd like to upgrade with all the cool features and been building my reputation slowly (started in Chance Liga and did pretty fair building a team before getting other offers in higher quality leagues)... I'd like to upgrade...and wondering if it's possible to go to FHM 8 without having to buy FHM 7. Possible? Anyone know? Thanks!

Absolutely possible and highly recommended. Lots of QoL updates as well as the financial system, improving 2D mode, etc.

I'm not familiar with Epic Games, which I see people use like Steam. In the past I've downloaded directly and resident on my Mac. Do you know if I go through Epic (also offering a $10 off coupon in addition to OOTP Lunar Sale) if my game will get updated? I don't want to download FHM 8 from Epic (or Steam) if my FHM 6 doesn't get updated and I lose my current progress. Thoughts? Thanks!
