unable to move save from old computer to new computer
I am trying to move my ootp 21 game to a new laptop. I saved my league to a flash drive and imported to the saved_games folder. Yet when I check the load games section it is empty. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

try saving it to an easy to find location like the desktop and load it from there then save it which will save it to the saved games folder.

I have found that the best way to do this is:
- old old computer use in game "backup" - zip that folder (so many files this step isn't necessary but will speed things up considerably" - unzip on new computer - on new computer LOAD game - restore from backup have done this a hundred times, works like a charm note: this will not include graphic files - just the pointers to them. so if you have anything custom in that zip-copy-paste these folders -ballparks -facegen -jerseys -logos you can easily skip the graphic part if you havent added any mods

Thank you for your help, I tried to restore from backup and it said it was successful but it still isn't being recognized in the load games section afterward. What should I do?

Unlicense, uninstall, and reinstall? The pointer to your saved_games folder might have been messed up.

Simply zip your league-file and copy it to the "saved games" folder on your new computer
Make sure OOTP is not running Unzip it there and start OOTP Click on "Load Game" and start your game

* Right-click the file "DBACKS #2.lg" and zip it
* Then copy the zipped file to the saved games-folder on your laptop * unzip it * start OOTP By clicking "Load Game" the saved game should appear Be aware that it looks different from what you have on your computer right now when you first start the league If that doesn't work try it by renaming your file "DBACKS#2.lg" or "DBACKS2.lg", maybe the space and/or the "#" has something to do with it

You should at least get an error message when it can't be opened.
Can you post screenshots of the saved games-folders from your old computer and the laptop? How did you transfer the file to your laptop?

Just an idea but maybe the # in the league name is causing and issue? maybe remove the # and try again. EDIT: Whoops I see that you tried that already
Another thing that I have seen happen is when I .zip up a league and extract it sometimes (due to my error) the unzipped data ends up one level too low so at .../saved_games/league.lg/league.lg/<league files> instead of .../saved_games/league.lg/<league files> Also check in the extracted location that there is a world.dat file under .../saved_games/league.lg folder
