Injuries

I'm not proud of it, but I didn't really have a choice - I had to edit out three injuries to defensemen just to keep from having to suit up three forwards on the blue line. I had four players get injured in one game - three of them defensemen - which gave me seven injured players in total. Five of those were blueliners.

The injuries at "normal" are relentless. I think I'm going to have to set them to "very few" just to enjoy the game.

If you're having that many issues it may just be bad luck, it has to do with your coaching, ice times, tactics and players injury proneness.

Having a rash of injuries isn't uncommon though. It happens. Even today in the real NHL, the Canucks are down to their 5th goalie - so imagine that fun.

As a long-time Canucks fan, I'm well aware of their goalie issues - art student as EBUG last night. Of course, they were missing their top four due to a global pandemic, not broken hands, torn ligaments and the like.

My reaction was more towards seemingly being at the top of the league in injury days (currently 3rd in my historical save, and would have been 2nd if not for my editing) year after year. It's to the point where if I see a news item notification immediately after a game, I expect the worst.

Does anyone happen to know where that famous zamboni driver's at? I think he's next on the Canucks depth chart.

Haha true! But from what I remember wasn't he employed by the other team when Canucks were playing on the road?

Yeah, IIRC it was actually Toronto/Carolina. But you're right, he was employed by the home team and went in for the visitors. Pretty comical when your own zamboni driver beats you!
