I get the impression that your leagues are in the 1880s and early 1900s.

I don't do graphics from those eras... my style is 1950 and later.

Well, the EBA dynasty started in 1871, and now it's 1876, just so you know. I just turned the Freedom and Independence Baseball Alliance into the NABA, and the Dreamfields Baseball Syndicate into the United States Baseball Association, for your information, after having backed up that dynasty's last five years, and had the almanac created for the 1875 season in the game world.

After the 1875 Almanac was created, I then spent several hours renaming the two applicable leagues, changing them from independent leagues to major leagues, shifting teams around as needed, and renaming/relocating certain teams as needed and/or desired. That took me much of yesterday, if memory serves me correctly.

Most of the teams now in the NABA I already had suitable graphics for, in terms of renamed teams and locations, like the Birmingham Stallions, for example. Changing their items took a little time, of course, but not as much as it would have taken me to have to make them or potentially request them to be made, for sure.

The above teams I mentioned several of my posts ago in this thread didn't or don't likely have any graphics suitable enough for current use here, so I will try to do what I can for those teams, in any case. Seeing as air travel won't likely begin for a while, if we want this to be as realistic as possible here, as of 1876, we'll have to figure out how to incorporate the Bombers theme for one of the New York teams, as a result, if we do anything for them that requires an image of some sort as part of their logo or logos.

Same thing is true with Memphis's Pilots. We'll probably have to stick with a nautical theme, at least for a while, of course. At least for the most part, we might, anyway, for now. Fortunately, Memphis is a river city, as you know, so maybe I can find something that works well enough for them here, somehow.

As for the Pittsburgh Pythons, I already have some ideas for them, to be sure, but we'll have to see what I can find or come up with for them, in any case. Hopefully the searching and all won't be too hard to do, of course, but only time will tell if it is, for sure, you know.

The teams now in the new USBA are keeping the same names and team locations that they each had before I reconfigured the old FIBA/new NABA and the old DBS/new USBA, at least for one more season, if not longer than that. And they probably won't change either or both of those things for a good while yet, at that, I think, for your information.

After that, that just will leave the New York Bombers, the Pittsburgh Pythons, and St. Louis Scouts to be attended to here by me as best as possible, et cetera. All teams in the NABA here now have uniforms and caps made for them, whether by me or by other people, for sure. The new NABA teams are going to look SWEET in 1876, with their uniforms and caps, for sure. I think I'm really going to like the looks of the Colonials, Pilots, and Scouts, for instance. Especially the new look for the Scouts, the former Keokuk Westerns from the old FIBA. I might even add at least one human manager to my Earth Baseball Association dynasty that I've had present in at least one or two of my various dynasties for at least one or two versions of OOTP, in fact, at that. If not more than one, to be completely honest with you all here, folks.

Stay away from any Win 11, EC, for as long as possible. Stick with Win 10. You don't need Win 11. You can most likely stick with Win 10 for at least another two years, I believe, and not potentially risk certain information getting out that you don't want or need to get out for at least that long.

I could upgrade to 11 myself, in fact, but I still am NOT going to do so for as long as possible, for sure. Just so you know, even though I'm not necessarily a computer expert myself, either, to be honest.

Again, stick with Win 10 for as long as possible, especially for potential security's sake, if not for any other possible reason or reasons here that you may or may not have eventually show up for you soon enough. That's supposing they haven't already shown up for you, of course. CD out.

CD, be aware that Microsoft just took over my computer when Windows 10 came out and installed it without my permission... it ruined my computer.

Be careful when Microsoft keeps asking you if you would like Windows 11 free.... if you don't pay close attention, you will not say "no, don't install" and they will install it.

Well, I have been paying attention, and have not let it upgrade to 11, so it has not upgraded me to 11 so far. And even if you actually do upgrade to a later version of Windows, I think there is a certain length of time where you can revert things back to a previous version, if you catch it in time and so choose, EC. I did not catch it in time... it installed Windows 10... my computer froze up... I got the wrong repair place to do the work... they said they could switch it back to the previous Windows and save everything for me... they apparently didn't know what they were doing... I lost everything... whatever they did ruined the hard drive... they blamed it on a bad hard drive, but I really think they damaged the hard drive when they tried to revert Windows 10 to the previous version.

Luckily, I found a backup of OOTP on an external hard drive... it was the first 52 seasons of OOTP... I only lost 4 years... I had played up to 2056 at that time.

I won't be upset at all if you don't actually do any, obviously, but I certainly would still really appreciate some significant enough logo help to go with the many items I've made for various teams, whether real or fictional, for sure, from anyone willing to try and all. Put each of your leagues on thumb drives, if you can, whether you're copying the backups or their current states, if not both, EC. In the meantime, I really hope your current computer isn't done for, of course.

You may or may not need another computer, but make sure that if you get one, to make as sure as you can that it is a Win 10 computer, not a Win 11, at least for security's sake, if at all possible. You don't need others to know your most important security details any more than absolutely necessary, not even Microsoft, for example.

You want to keep your older computers as long as possible, for just that reason, because there are a lot of places on the internet, no matter where you go, where your personal information can be accessed easier by people who have no real need or business in knowing it. Even if you try to be as careful as possible with who you trust with your information online, be especially cautious when it comes to getting the latest version of Windows, for example, for sure, as best as you can be. Especially in the era of increasingly smart phones, et cetera. Just so you know, EC.

As I said above, I myself am not a computer expert by any means, compared to many others. But I do know at least one or two people who work quite a lot in that sort of field, for sure. And at least one of them has discussed matters like this with me at some length, if not at great length, in fact, EC. And told me a lot of things like what I've just told you here, it seems to me. I have a challenge for you to consider, EC. Of course, you are free to decline the challenge, if and when you like. But I challenge you to try to write at least part, if not most or all, of a novel this year. It can be from any genre you choose, or a mixture of genres, with any setting you so choose to use, but I still challenge you to write a novel, as best as you can, and as the Lord leads you to, if He does.

Perhaps you could set it in Ruthlandia and Tycobbia, and do something like Duane Decker did with the Blue Sox series of stories, for instance. It would be rather interesting to see what kind of story or stories you could write this year. At least to me, I think, in between you simulating your various seasons, listening to your collected music, visiting nursing homes, and spending a great amount of time, of course, with our Lord and our God, you know, EC.

Just a thought here, that's all, which you can consider or not as you like, for sure. I don't know how much writing I'll actually be able to get done this year, but I've already begun writing up some material which will relate to the Freemans, at least. I might even try and link it to my work on Lighting Up the Darkness, for that matter, come to think of it. But we'll have to see about that later on, of course, Lord willing and all, you know.

Sorry, CD... I just don't have any interest in writing a novel... my South Island League world is plenty enough writing for me... I enjoy looking back over my lifetime and covering its real world news and culture and combining it with a fictional baseball world... that's is plenty enough writing for me.
