LA Lions 6 (17-20) - Nashville Hustlers 2 (13-24) The LA Lions racked up a win in Nashville on Friday night, as the moved past the Nashville Hustlers, 6-2. Tim White threw 5 innings and allowed 4 runs. Meyereson and Villarreal were scoreless in their relief outings. Alex Gutierrez, however, came on in the top of the final frame and allowed an uncharacteristic 2 ER with 0 strikeouts. **************** The Nashville Hustlers and Oklahoma City Sooners have swapped first basemen. Shan-Bo Ruan heads to Oklahoma. Danny Aguilar heads to Nashville. Aguilar is an 11 year pro with good contact skills. He has average power and makes regular contact....something I couldn't say about Ruan...just got tired of watching him strikeout in huge situations. Aguilar is a league-average first baseman. |

The Nashville Hustlers have reportedly worked out a deal with the San Jose Sharks. Sources close to the Hustlers indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 29-year old RF Justin Parnell will be swapped to Nashville with 20 year old minor league RF Oscar Serralheiro heading to San Jose. Parnell is a good contact hitting LHH. He grades out as an above average right fielder defensively His speed makes him a base stealing threat, but he could improve his success rate. |
