No, I'm not picking either team to win specifically, EC, but I am predicting the Pro Cup to go the maximum number of games, with the series being generally closer than the scores might perhaps indicate. I don't expect either team to score more than nine runs in any game, but I still suspect there may be one or two shutouts along the way, at most. I can't say for sure which of the teams might win here, in truth, as far as I can currently gather easily enough. So please don't say I'm definitely picking the Silver Sox here now. Thank you. CD out.

Personally, I think the IPA Pro Cup winner will definitely be the Turon Typhoons... or perhaps, it might definitely be the Stoner Silver Sox... that's would be my prognostication.

You have already asked me to post the number of IPA Pro Cups that have been won by each of the 64 teams recently... check post 8342 on page 418 in the IPA Dynasty Report thread.
CD, I apologize for misquoting your Pro Cup prediction... I'll contact the editor of The Islandian Times and ask for a correction in the next edition. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-04-2021 at 06:42 PM. |

I mean I think the apparent quality level of each team is too close to their opponent's quality level to make a clear prediction about who will definitely win the Pro Cup series here, in my eyes. But if the rest of my thoughts prove on-base enough, I still think it will be a good Pro Cup series, EC. CD out

You will be going into the IPA's 73rd season soon. 75th season of it is two seasons after that, EC. CD out.

Thirty teams are left who haven't apparently won the Pro Cup yet in your IPA, it seems, EC, after Belair Beach's win a season ago, if I remember correctly enough here. That means 34 teams have won at least one IPA Pro Cup so far, if not more. Stoner has a chance to reduce the former number by one, and increase the latter number by one, if they win this time around.
I can't pick a definite winner here, for sure, but I do think it will be a much closer Pro Cup than the average game scores may indicate for either team. Even though I'm definitely not picking a certain team to win, for sure, I would probably have to give the slight edge to Turon. A very slight edge, if any, at that. Just so you and anyone else following your IPA closely who might be interested in my thoughts about such things know what I'm thinking well enough here, that's all, EC. CD out.

I was asking who was left to win a Pro Cup, and your thoughts about which team or teams might have better chances to win at least one Cup within the next five or so seasons, if memory serves me correctly. Of course, if Stoner wins, then that will leave only 29 teams left to potentially win a Pro Cup title. I would hope to see every team win at least one Cup. But given how there are still several strong teams who've already won Cups with at least halfway good chances to take even more Cups, it may be some time yet before many more of those teams win at least one for themselves, you know.
You must have accidentally misunderstood what I was asking earlier. So hopefully this clears up things for you better here, EC. Of the teams that haven't yet won at least one Cup, which teams do you think are most likely to perhaps win an IPA Pro Cup in the next several seasons, at most? Just curious, that's all. I hope you let us know your thoughts once the Pro Cup is over and the awards all announced, of course. Talk more later on, as time permits and all, Lord willing, I'm sure. In the meantime, do you have any good suggestions for movies I might want to consider watching in hopes that they might perhaps help me gain at least some good inspiration to work with so that I hopefully can better be able to do more writing for any of my writing ventures? Thank you for your time and attention and all here, then, EC, as always. CD out.

Nobody can predict who will win a title any given year, let alone several seasons down the road. Things can change a lot from year to year. And nobody knows what the scores of the games will be. Will one of the teams score more than nine runs in a game? Perhaps, perhaps not. Does it matter? I remember one game where Texas beat Baltimore 30-3. And there was a Cubs-Phillies game in the 70s, I believe, that was 23-22. Even in the playoffs the oddball score will happen. In Game 3 of the 2004 ALCS the Yankees beat the Red Sox 19-8. And in Game 4 of the 1993 World Series the Blue Jays beat the Phillies 15-14.
If the scores were more ‘average’ but the same teams won, it would result in the same outcome in the standings or series, and that’s the only thing anyone really remembers in the long run. |

Would like to see what people can do
The USFL is coming back, it seems, next year. Information about it can be found here:
https://news.sportslogos.net/2021/11...2022/football/ I don't think I'll be able to do these teams with their updated looks, but perhaps someone else can around here, if I can't, folks. Personally, my favorite team from the USFL then was the Generals, and as for the rebooted Generals, I think I like the new look for them too. Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm sure. But right now, it's almost time for my bedtime, it seems. So I'd best close this, and come back later, of course, folks. That's all for this post, then. CD out.

CD, here are instructions on how to download items without the Photobucket label on them.
In Chrome, you can right-click on each image in the OOTP post and select "open image in new tab". Go to the tab and right-click on the image and select "Save image as..." |

I don't use Chrome, EC. I use Firefox, but I do have the Chrome add-on enabled, I believe. However, it still does the webp bit instead of png bit, it seems, when I try to do that, often, if not always. Just so you know. CD out.

Rocky Rapids Snappers items for possible consideration
Here are two brand-new uniforms for Rocky Rapids's Snappers that I have just made here. I really don't know if these two items will satisfy you enough, for potential use in either of your IPAs, if not both of them, EC and jg2977. And I haven't actually made any caps to go along with them just yet. But maybe these items might just work for you somehow, at some point in time here. The font in question is Overpass, by the way. Please feel free to let me know what you think of them, if and when you like and all, of course. CD out.

I just need to let you know that I’ll be taking a break from the game and the forums for a little while. I received unfortunate news this morning that one of my dear friends passed away last night. I’m really heartbroken right now as she was always very caring and supportive of me and my family. |

Of course I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, you know, as I often try to do, along with doing the same for others around here. It was really hard for me after my own dear younger brother left this world like he did, obviously, but he went Home quickly, and didn't linger around when doing so. God took him Home quickly, away from his profound autism and broken body and all, and that is STILL a great comfort to me even after more than eight years have passed since that happened.
He is Home forever with the King of King and the Lord of Lords. No longer is he still suffering, no longer is he still in pain, no longer is he still unable to communicate like he was when he was here, and no longer is he still in any possible danger from anyone or anything in this world, and he never will be again. I too lost a dear friend when I was in another state from where we'd both gone to school with each other, and I felt really sad, once I found out, several months later. But, hopefully, he was still young enough to make it to Heaven through God's mercy and grace when he left this world. I don't know for sure just yet whether I'll actually see him again as well in Heaven, but I can still hope I do, of course. I hope your friend ultimately made enough of the right choices in her life, of course, about eternity and all, but we'll just have to wait and see if she did, if at all possible, when eternity comes for us all, you know. In the meantime, however, I will certainly lift you and any number of people up in prayer as He who made us all leads me to, for sure, jg2977. CD out.

If she definitely knew the Lord as needed to the best of her ability, and was saved, she is already rejoicing in His presence, just as sure as my brother must be doing now. You can take comfort in that fact, if that was true of her in her life. One day, all this pain and everything else that is bad from this world will be no more, gone for all eternity, for those who truly knew, know, and will know, the Lord in their lives, from the most powerful to the least powerful in this world.
There's only so much we can do in our mortal lives, jg2977, even if we want to do more in them than we're actually able to do. For instance, I have always wanted to see Israel in person for myself in this life, but for various reasons, often ones beyond my control, if not entirely so, I have not YET been able to get there and back, if I ever will be able to in it somehow. With the way things now are in this world or likely to soon be in it, I would, if I didn't trust God to make a way when there seems to be no way, according to His will, probably doubt the chances of that ever being possible for me to do. BUT, and this is a very important BUT, if He ever decides to make it possible for me, there will be no power on Earth strong enough to keep His will about that sort of thing from ever being accomplished in my life. The KJV Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3: 1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace; 9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of man to be exercised in it. 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. 12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and do good in his life. 13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. 14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before Him. 15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. I hope this passage from Ecclesiastes helps you and all those close enough to her in your friend's life find great comfort in the future, whether near or far, jg2977. Take whatever time you need to recover from this loss, and know that if you need some advice about things, and you believe I can give you that advice well enough, then feel free to let me know, privately or not, in the future. CD out.

Some prospective items for the Putnam Valley Polyglots so far
Here are two prospective uniforms for the Putnam Valley Polyglots so far. No caps yet, but I can at least tell you that the font in question here is called Dosis. Talk more later. That is all for now, at least, then. CD out.
