I Can Now Poach Coaches From Other Teams?
Has anyone done this so far? Anyone who can explain how this works?

Game, if you go into Free Agent Personal there is an option box that shows all interested or minor league managers and it shows anyone that is interested that is under contract.

In the first year of a game, or the first year after import, hardly any coaches will want to move. But over time it should adjust - there's checks in place to prevent them from signing away all the time, and that does trigger more in the first year.

cool. I have several minor league coaches that are FA after the year, so that will come in handy after the season.

Is poaching limited to coaching staff or does it also include Scouting Directors?

Quick question if I may...exactly what kind of checks are in place to ensure staff doesn't jump ship on an international level? eg lots of Japanese staff working in MLB or any other combination?
I realize OOTP doesn't use language spoken as a check (maybe it could/should?) so I'm wondering how this aspect of hiring staff is handled...or is this currently just not preventable at this time? |

I noticed it appears impossible to hire staff to MLB teams from Independent Leagues. I am not sure whether it is because you need to provide a promotion (Scouting to Scouting vs. Scouting to Assistant GM), or whether it is because independent leagues appear to operate with with rolling 1-year contracts (staff member has always "recently" signed a contract).
But basically high end scouts and trainers are perpetually trapped in the independent leagues despite my desire as an MLB franchise to give them 100x their salary. |
