Game crashes when trying to start a human game

First off, Kudos for such a great game!

I have been playing a fictional league, with fictional players, and have completed two seasons. I just started my third after expanding from a 16 team league with two divisions to 20 teams with two sub leagues of 10 with 5 team divisions each.

The game now crashes every time I try to play a human game. It doesn’t matter how I try to get there, either through the continue button, the play tab, the manage game button, or the daily schedule (incidentally the button to play a human game in the daily schedule is black).

I can play any game in the background and can watch an entire game played by the AI or look at highlights.

I have given access to the bug reports

Are you on Android or iOS?

iOS. And this only happens in the one league. I have no problems starting a game in other leagues or a league I started after the one with the issue.
