15,000 Perfect Points?

Hey All, I just got 15,000 points in what was only described as a "custom event." Anyone know what brilliant thing I did to get this reward?

Did you win a giveaway in a stream?

Ah, that must be it! Dishnet must have pulled a Charlie Morton! I was distracted by NBA and whiskey.

Congrats. Picked up 25k myself in Friday night's stream.

Why are there never any similar prize draws on the forums?

They don't like relics such as myself who can't be arsed with a new form of social media every six months .

For what it's worth, it's not too bad to set up to watch the streams and get rewards. The give aways are good and you have a lot better odds of hitting one of those than pulling a perfect player from a pack. I got 25k for guessing that Dishnet would pull a Ryne Sandberg build a legend in 50 packs. On top of that you get a free pack like every 15 minutes. The content varies greatly between the streamers so you'll find something you enjoy enough.

Not too bad to set up, but pretty hard to stay up... Would normally be 2am but the clocks have just changed in the UK.

Probably not, although I find YouTube vids on the game to be sleep-inducingly boring and suspect the streams are even worse. Maybe at 8PM my time if I had nothing better to do, but I'm afraid I suffer the same handicap as Tinkerman; over here it's catching z's time.

Hello! One of your friendly neighborhood OOTP affiliate streamers here!

In terms of the timing of streams and such, it's partly in my control and partly out of my control. I have a day job during the weekdays that kind of precludes me from streaming during the day here in the US (nighttime in the UK), and I think that's the case for most of the streamers in the affiliate program (I think there may be a couple of them doing streams at more reasonable hours, like FKNCommish, but I'm not exactly 100 percent sure of their schedule).

However, I am looking at possibly doing something at a reasonable hour on a weekend day in the future - I have a fictional league I want to do on stream and broadcast/call games from, so that could be something to consider. I usually do a Saturday stream at 3 p.m. ET (8 p.m. BST, if my time zone knowledge is correct) doing random stuff, so I might do an OOTP stream then. We'll see.

As for your fears that the streams can be boring, I encourage you to watch some of my streams of the Perfect Team Weekly Showdown - I try to keep it entertaining, upbeat and informative (with a little bit of salt thrown in if I lose in a bad way, which usually happens). A link to the 8 videos of the series on my channel are here: https://www.twitch.tv/collections/IDlyKQJVpRbBug

I hesitate to speak on behalf of my fellow affiliate streamers, but we all do our best to make things entertaining for our audience and keep them engaged. I hope you'll be able to make it to an affiliate's stream (or an official OOTP stream) someday!

Yeah I feel you. There is no way I'd be committed enough to do that
