Build a Legend Tracker

I created a simple Build a Legend tracker in Excel. I am guessing some of you may not need this but I am offering because I found it helpful. When I entered the data for myself I realized that I had 3 missions completed for a player without having bought the card! I do find it helpful in reminding me who I am trying to build for each of the 3 teams I play and I could use it to set priorities. If people find useful I could expand it to being a tracker for all team based missions and thus a Franchise Hero tracker as well.

The tracker is easy to use--just put an X in the Bronze Card column for all those you have and then enter where you are at for all the missions (use and X when you complete any mission). The formulas will populate the rest of the cells and the conditional formatting will create a visual overview so you can see quickly where there are missions you may want to complete.

I know it is simple but I did the typing and thought others could use (I used paper for Live Team missions but this would have been better for that as well).

I could upload a Google Sheets version to Discord as well (not sure how to do Google Sheets here and not sure how to do Excel there, sorry!).

Hey Quinta, I am using your tracker and it is awesome. Makes it so much easier than sorting through the Missions page. Did you ever do one for the Team and Franchise Hero missions? If so, I would love to use them .

I did update and greatly improve it. I just never got around to sharing it! I was not sure how timely it was for others as some people probably completed a lot missions. Admittedly, I had gotten limited feedback (which is OK!) so I was not sure if it was worth sharing.

The bad news is that I will be traveling for a few days so will not be able to polish it up (and include Team Mission #2 columns) for public use until Saturday or Sunday. I promise I will share it here in a few days.

I have added Live Mission Columns, Team Mission Columns, "Topper" Tracking (for Live Missions and Team Missions), and the final Franchise Hero tracking-- so here are few screenshots for the new stuff (and yes I improved the BAL part as well):



So, I will share a new version with added functionality this weekend.

Just want to say thanks again for this, it has been really useful in keeping track of things. With the way everything chains together it's pretty important to have a good handle on this stuff, and the sheet really helps a lot.

Thanks. The new version will be called Team Mission Tracker. I have also created different worksheets for each of your teams. So it is still a good BAL tracker but tries to also track how everything chains together. I think people could also use to add things they need as well such as notes/targets etc.

I may try to get it out before the weekend but probably will not have time with travel--but it will be available ASAP!

The tracker was in better shape for public than I thought. While I do not have time to rewrite the instructions and explanation (should be pretty self explanatory but I know instructions will help) and the "Topper" tracking is not finished; I am attaching the version as of right now. As stated above I will write up instructions, finish topper tracking and add Team Mission #2 information by Sunday and upload Team Mission Tracker version 1.

I updated the former Build A Legend Tracker to include all the team based missions for building Franchise Heroes. The workbook is now called Team Mission Tracker. It includes simple but (I think) useful tracking of Live Missions, BAL Missions, Team Mission #1, and Future Legend Mission with "Topper" reward tracking built in. It is all intended to help you juggle multiple teams across a wide range of goals while providing a record and a visual reminder of where you are at. Any suggestions or other feedback appreciated.

I just saw there is another tracker out there on Discord that looks useful (but is a bit different).

I have belatedly updated the Team Mission Tracker in Excel. It now includes an update for Historical All-Star Missions. Even though the scoring and rewards are division based I think I created a logical and usable worksheet to track these rewards. Please read the overview/instructions for how to use the Historical All-Star Mission tracker columns if it does not seem clear. I will update in a few days with Franchise Hero #2 tracking.

You can use all your previously entered information by cutting and pasting from the new template into your sheet OR cutting and pasting your info into the new template. It is intended to be simple but obviously the missions and reward structure is different for all the different aspects of the Franchise Heroes--the tracker tries to keep all that information in a reasonably compact place. Feel free to add columns if you have notes about rewards for your personal use.

I would be interested in feedback and thanks for all the positive feedback so far!

I have added the capability to track Team Mission #2 and Franchise Hero #2 to the functionality mentioned above. Previous users should be able to cut and paste their old data into the appropriate worksheets in the new version. New users can enter their data fresh into the workbook using the instructions in the overview worksheet.

Attached is another update--for the first time in a timely way (using yesterday's update). This version has the Prime Performer rewards as well as fixing a few minor bugs.

The tracker as the above states is a simple Excel workbook that tracks all your Team Based Missions. It allows you to see your progress to further rewards like Franchise Heroes and Toppers. You can paste in the new columns from this template into your old tracking workbooks to update the easiest. Enjoy!

Here is Team Mission Tracker v5! It has the relatively straightforward Team Mission #3 update included. If you are unfamiliar with the tracker it is a fairly simple Excel workbook that allows you to track your team mission progress and completion. The instructions are in the overview tab. As it is a spreadsheet you can mod it and morph it to suit your needs. For example, you can use highlights to flag your current mission completion goals. Some of you have so many cards you complete the missions so fast that this is not needed. This is for the bulk of us that need some help keeping track!

Once again as a reminder if you have used previous versions you can add the new columns to your old data (you miss a few minor tweaks to the old workbooks that way but it works!) or you can add your old data to this new blank template (a little less straightforward but if you do it right it should work).

A few days late but here is Team Mission Tracker V6. This update adds the Selects Missions and structure on to the database and sets up the Franchise Hero #3 Tracking as well. In fact, only the names for the Franchise Hero rewards is missing (I will do that but you could with this as well). This update as usual fixes a few older quirks. The instructions for each section of the tracker are on the Overview worksheet.
The tracker is very useful for people have trouble remembering how far they are on 15 sets of missions across three teams (or more!) . I use it to track what I have completed but I also highlight cells (one user adds notes) so I quickly know what I am aiming to complete next. I heard one streamer talk about how they have a notebook to keep track (this is what I did initially this year for the first set of live missions) but I decided this would be easier for me.

Thank you! I sometimes have trouble keeping track of issues like this but I do try to fix and minimize them (they arise because I make changes in one sheet or my own workbook and do not use them in the public tracker correctly).

I will work on making this fix and others I find and update the Tracker as soon as I can. There will likely be a new version tomorrow (Saturday at latest). This should be the final version so I will try to recheck everything.

One thing I noticed - the AL West Historical All-Star points aren't adding up correctly - what can I do to fix that?

Thanks Dish! That cell--Z38--should be =SUM(Z15,Z13,Z22,Z30,Z27) .I had fixed that in one version but forgot to carry it over to the public workbook. I am impressed that you are using the workbook as designed.

You can also download the updated version that is attached and copy the Z38 cells.
