OOTP 21 saved file corrupt

Hello, been playing this for a while on several versions. I saved the game last night and today I tried to open the game and it said unable to open the saved file as it is corrupt and saved from a prior version.

I tried the DAT file fix and it did not work. Any other suggestions?

Hello, any help on this would be appreciated. I'm in like my 20th season of this league through OOTP 18, 19, 20 and now 21. Thank you!

I assume you don't have a backup because you wouldn't be here asking if you did.

You can submit the file for tech support and sometimes they can figure out a setting that's off or something that can be fixed to salvage the season. It's worth asking, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Thank you for the response. I do have a backup but it is a bit dated so definitely would prefer to try to repair if possible. I had this issue once before and the DAT fix worked but not this time.

I also have cloud backup and tried to use those DAT files also and did not work. Thank you for the info.

I'm having this exact same issue today. Screenshots are available on Reddit. What can I do? What's this DAT fix you mentioned?

It's for an online league so there's a lot riding on fixing it. We don't have a relevant backup due to some issues that arose the last time I tried to do one.

Well I lucked out. I use Backblaze as a cloud backup and was able to download an earlier saved version. I lost about a week of game play but am very relieved. Lesson learned on backing this up more frequently.
