OOTP22 not loading properly

I am using a MacBook Pro. OS version Catalina 10.15.7

The first few times I tried to load the game, it just wouldn't come up. I got the spinning beachball and had to force quit out of the game and restart my computer.

The past few times I tried, I get the first-day screen, the one asking me to "ENTER LICENSE KEY" or "PURCHASE OOTP 22 NOW" ...

Of course, I purchased this game months ago and never had this issue before.

I don't know what to do right now to get it back up and running. Any suggestions?

I just posted/put in a ticket about this myself, and I see someone else is also having the issue. Must be some problem with FastSpring or the license server. Seems like we just have to wait patiently for OOTP to fix it or announce something.

I can relax now, but hope the problem is solved quickly.

"We are aware that FastSpring, our license provider, is currently having a widespread issue with their servers. This is affecting user abilities to have their purchased OOTP/FHM games contact the FastSpring servers for license information and checks.

We are awaiting news from FastSpring that their server issue is resolved. We are hopeful this issue will be resolved ASAP."

I would presume so because I am also having this issue and I run the game on a PC laptop, not a Mac.

This is why fast spring should have an offline activation. The fact that I have had this game since March but can't play is ridiculous

Thanks for posting. Also a Mac user w/ same issue described above. I am able to login to OOTP GO on my iPad.

Work around until they fix it. Turn off your wi/fi. Start the game. Turn your wi/fi back on and you should be good to go. Worked for me.

I am having the same problem. Can't open 21 or 22. I have a macpro with macOS big sur version 11.6.

I have this issue too. Using my MacBook Pro.

I launched it with the wifi off and it worked.

Update in case the reply above was lost. The issue is with FastSpring's servers, and needs to be fixed by them. We all just waiting until that occurs. No further updates yet.
