Live Start error

I've had the following error every single time I've tried to start a live game in the past month (about 2 dozen attempts with different teams). I get the same kind of roster error as below.

I love the live start concept VERY MUCH but it is useless if I can't play the first game.

I click continue/play game, and the game says "scheduled game cannot be completed: Houston Astros invalid secondary roster. Houston still has a spring training invitee (Framber Valdez) on the active roster! Major League Baseball: Minnesota Twins @ Houston Astros.

Whenever I've tried to recreate this, it works fine for me. I've also not really heard of anyone else running into the same issue, so I'm really a bit at a loss as to what might be happening here.

Worst case scenario you should just be able to turn commish mode on and then move the specified player off the active roster and back on and it should fix things.

One thing you might try is deleting the entire live_start folder in your OOTP data folder, then restarting the game and trying a new Live start. If some of the data is corrupt and causing the issue, that should fix things.

Found and deleted the folder, to no avail.

Also, can't remove him from the active roster: he refuses a minor league assignment.

I went into the editor and injured him for 1 day and then I have the same issue for additional players. The error says Atlanta still has a spring training invitee on the active roster.

After you deleted the folder, did you start a new Live Start game when you restarted the game (rather than trying the old one that didn't work again)?

There's definitely something weird going on here. I think it might help to have a copy of the game you created where you get these messages.

If you can zip up the save and either upload it to our servers as per my signature or upload to Dropbox/Google Drive and post a link here, we can take a look at it and see if we can find anything.

You can simply run the AI manager on all teams and it should correct issues like that normally. We can add a better check to create valid rosters off the live start in the next patch.

Matt, how can I then change from all auto-managers to managing one team?
