Believe me though, the drinking has already started. I'm booing my players and they're booing me back. I'm then withholding their salaries, which only serves to make me more drunk because I'm paying them in hot dogs and beer.

If the Mundys had moved up a level it'd be easier to understand. They're still at silver.

When starting out a new season of PT, I am curious as to how long you guys allow a position player to struggle before you bench him for another player?

I use to have very little patience for a struggling player and I would give him 5 games to do something before benching him.

I have however, seen players start out really, really slow and then catch fire.

These days 99% of the time I am allowing 10 games for a player to show his stuff offensively, before benching him.

I start out using my best guys however, every once in a while I'll have a top rated player who never seams to get going, season after season.

About the only position I have the most patience for is my catcher position as my #1 guy has a catcher ability rating of 6 (on a 1-5 scale). If he does show up after a while, I'll bench him too!

How do you guys manage your team(s) with benching players who "don't show up"?

Pitchers can be very "tricky" as it can take several games for pitcher to get 5 games under his belt however, 99% of the time I go by his FIT rating. If after 5 games the pitcher is sporting a rating higher than 5, I'll bench him.

BTW, has anyone ever noticed that in some seasons there are several of your top players all going "south" at the same time!!??

When that happens, you might as well put your team on autopilot as no matter who you bring in to that position, everyone's substitution player is lousy, too!

With good players, I find it's very usual for them to bounce back at some point. If they do, they'll likely be better than any replacement, so I tend to hope for that.

If a pitcher has a 7+ ERA in the 1st half, then gets back to 4+ in the 2nd half, they have to have been pitching pretty well. Likewise, if hitters go from .200 to .280, they've also been pretty good. I like to give that a chance to happen!

No worries. As long as you don't play OL games with ineligible players when you do play, your participation is welcome, to whatever degree you can mange.

Sunday still in the lead in a close race. Paxville is the team to keep an eye on. The Kings are the only OL team with a winning record against the Drivers so far, and one of only 2 teams in the entire league to have the upperhand against Sunday.

Kaipo and South Holland remain winless in OL.

so you can have someone like Wander Franco on your team as long as he doesn't play in any OL games?

No. No live or future legends on your main PT roster. You can use them in tournaments though.
