Here's the La Claire Secondary Logo... it is 300 x 300 pixels... I did one at 150 x 150 and it was not as clear on the game screens.
When the game converts this to 50 x 50 pixels, it may do the same thing to it. Last edited by Eugene Church; 08-27-2021 at 10:01 PM. |

Things haven't exactly gone very well for the 1934 Cardinals here in my related save. Too many key players missing time and all doesn't help, especially people like Pepper Martin and the Waner boys and Red Rolfe, to name a few. My whole minor league system has had quite a few long-term injuries, and I've largely been scrambling, in many respects, for victories all season. We were doing quite well until we lost Red Rolfe and Pepper Martin, for instance, for substantial time.
For much more related information, if and when you like, folks, please feel free to check out my current 1934 Cardinals-related OOTP 18 Historical Simulations thread called Building the Nest. Thank you. CD out.

Jackson hasn't clinched their league quite yet, if there are still two games to go for the season, and if they're only ahead by a game, EC, in your new dynasty league. Just thought you should know. CD out.

I'll certainly keep you in my prayers and all, you know, EC. Hope you stay safe and all, of course. Let me know later, what you think of my attempt at running a OOTP version of the 1934 Cardinals, if and when you like, as well. Thank you for your time and all, for sure. CD out.

I really like your jerseys and update to the La Claire logo. I prefer the yellow color scheme for the Lynx rather than the red.

La Claire Lynx uniforms so far (CD-style)
Three uniforms so far for La Claire's Lynx. Please let me know what you think of these, jg2977. That is all. CD out.
Edit: Added another one, perhaps just for fun, so to speak. That is all. CD out.

I'll see if I can't come up with something else you might like better than these items, along with some caps for these and other uniforms. Give me a little time and I'll see what I can do. The font, by the way, is Ballpark. I have the color codes written down but I will have to find the paper they're on to let you know what they are so far.
As for my 1934 Cardinals-related thread, I will not be happy if the Cubs or Yankees win the World Series at all. Especially the Cubs. The Yankees already have clinched the AL, even after Ruth retired just after the ASG. The Giants and Cubs are fighting it out in the NL, and the Pirates and Cardinals are still in the race, but probably too far back to catch up with about 15 or so games left to play. We have seen our organization hit hard this season with injuries, especially to several of our key players. Players like Pepper Martin and the Waner boys, for instance, and not necessarily for short periods of time, either. The Red Sox are terrible in 1934. Other teams are bad too, but they're the worst team in MLB this season so far. Yankees started out strong, as did others, even Washington, but New York quickly took charge and ran away with things this year in the AL. I think whoever comes out of the NL is going to have a real challenge on their hands in the World Series against them, for sure. Will write again later as I can and all. Thank you for your time and all, and I hope you check out that thread soon, and comment in it, if and when you like and can and all. CD out.

Just for your information, jg2977, in my 1934 Cardinals-related save, the Yankees won the World Series in 1934 against the Giants. See the related thread for more information, if you like and can, of course. They also have won in 1931, by the way. I managed to somehow bring the St. Louis Cardinals home in fourth place with a record of 80-74, after a very difficult and injury-filled season for my whole organization. Also, a few of my minor league teams did quite well, for that matter, winning a couple of titles, if I remember correctly enough here. Fortunately, the Cubs didn't win, too.
EC, your New Orleans Pelicans didn't win the Southern Association regular-season pennant in that simulated 1934 season. But they did prevail against their opponent in the postseason to win the playoff title. Please stay tuned to see how they do in 1935, if and when you like and can. Thank you. That's all for now, then, I think. CD out.

I'm aware of that, jg2977. But now that we're down two championships in comparison to reality, I'll have to hope to make up the difference in other later seasons where we didn't win in reality. We being the Cardinals, of course. If it hadn't been for the major injuries to a few of our key players, I think we could perhaps have earned at least ten to fifteen more victories during the season. But when you have key players out for weeks, if not months, it makes it so much more difficult, often, to succeed, don't you think?
Hopefully 1935 and future seasons will prove to be fruitful ones. We have Mize, Medwick, and others who are still young, so there may be potential success ahead for us soon. However, I don't think we will be doing much on the free agency front for a while, because in order to get rid of some older players in 1934, we had to eat salary, and not just a little either. I think we'll have to eat a good deal of dead money for a few years, at least, Possibly even into the late 1930's or early 1940's, if memory serves me correctly. We shipped off Tony Lazzeri and Jim Bottomley, both of who were 30 and over, but their contracts weren't inexpensive ones, to say the least. The best I can probably hope for is that they either retire or opt out of their current contracts, where they can, in the near future. IF they do, then we won't have to pay all of the money currently due them over the next few to several years, of course. Please watch for a new dynasty thread to be potentially be created very soon featuring the 1935 St. Louis Cardinals in the relevant saved game. Hope you decide to check it out and comment periodically on it as well, for that matter, jg2977. In the meantime, please feel free to check out the thread subtitled Building the Next in the Dynasty Reports thread, if you like. CD out.

By the way, Bill Dickey decided to leave the Yankees for the Giants, so I wonder how that's going to shake things up in MLB in 1935. The Giants got him for at least 94k+ over four years, and I think they want to be back on top of the MLB heap as soon as they can be. If Ott hadn't gone off to Detroit after the 1933 season, I think they could very well have won the 1934 Series themselves.
But Ott and Greenberg kept the Tigers in contention for a while, even though the Yankees clearly were the favorite all season long in the AL, if memory serves. Washington started out well, but couldn't stay close enough to the Yankees and other teams. Detroit had a bit of a rough start, but they were good enough to stay in the hunt for a little while, at least. The Red Sox really stunk, for the majority of the 1934 regular season, but we'll have to see how soon they start to get better players for themselves. I think they're at least a few players away from contending in the AL, if not more. Are there any players you may be curious about, who might be playing now in MLB? If so, ask, and I'll answer your questions as soon as I can about them. Some players are not on the teams you might normally expect them to be on, however. For instance, Lloyd and Paul Waner are on the Cardinals, as is Josh Gibson. Will write more later, sometime, if and when I can and all. Thank you for your time and all here, jg2977. I'll see what I can come up later on for some caps to go with the uniforms I made for La Claire earlier. Maybe you'll like them, maybe you won't, of course. CD out.

This is the thread you will want to check out to find out what happened since the end of the 1933 MLB season, by the way, jg2977. Hope you enjoy reading about our perilous adventure in 1934, of course.
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=293883 Yes, I did say perilous, to be sure. And it sure wasn't all that easy to bring us home above .500, with all the injuries and all that happened to us along the way. The Giants and certain other teams basically beat us real good, even the Phillies, among others, I believe. CD out.

Here's just some of our injuries since the start of the relevant save, for your viewing here, in fact. Hopefully you can understand better just how difficult it likely was for us this past season to do well. And this is ONLY on the St. Louis Cardinals, mind you. We had MANY others miss significant amounts of time in our entire farm system as well during the past season, for sure. CD out.

1935 season will be starting very soon for MLB, in terms of regular-season play. To see what happens for my 1935 Cardinals, and other teams in the related save, please consider checking out the related dynasty thread in the Dynasty Reports section. I am hoping we have a lot of good performances this season, and that we can stay much healthier, on average, organization-wide, than we generally were able to do in the 1934 season.
Seeing as we are now two championships down, in comparision with the real-world Cardinals of the 1930's, we will be seeking to try and win at least that many in years the real-world Cardinals did not. Especially after the Yankees took the World Series in both years for this save that the RL Cardinals won in, of course. That bugs me at least a little, obviously, but fortunately, the Cubs didn't win either year in reality or in this particular save, folks. The new thread can be found here, for those who may be interested in perhaps checking it out at various times, if and when they can and all: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=331750 I hope many of you check in on it periodically, and maybe even comment at times in that thread, and all, as respectfully as possible, et cetera. I won't just cover the Cardinals organization's activities, but also assorted events that occur during the season as well, from other teams and/or leagues in the current season. Who will come out on top of various leagues in 1935? It's a long season, so we'll all just have to wait and see what happens for everyone during it, of course, folks. Until the next post, then, I'll close this one. Hopefully I'll not only be able to post quite a bit in that thread, but also make significant progress on a number of other personal projects of mine, in the very near future. I now have less than three months to finish at least one of my current major projects in its first-draft state, to be sure. So my posting here may not be as frequent as I might normally prefer it to be, in truth, depending on how my various projects are going for me at any particular time. CD out.

Will have to replay/re-manage/re-simulate several Spring Training games before the 1935 MLB season starts in my relevant save. However, in the meantime, I do hope to be able to do more graphics work for people here, so please don't be afraid to perhaps make any requests for the same, if and when you like and can, within reason.
If I somehow have the time to be able to spend on them, and can figure out how to fill your requests easily enough, and am interested enough in them, I'll see what I can do for you in terms of graphics and all, folks. Even though I have quite a few other things to do, most likely, in the near future, I'll still see what I can do, if the requests you may make of me might interest me enough to try and do them for you here. I'll certainly write more later, as time permits and all, Lord willing, I'm sure. But we'll have to see what happens around me and around here first, of course. CD out.

Bay St. Clair Buccaneers items so far
Let's see if these work well for you both, at least, if not also others and/or myself, EC and jg2977. I couldn't quite match the font or fonts on the logo or logos in question, it seems, but maybe you can both use these items, at least. Or at least consider them for possible use, anyway.
Here are two prospective uniforms and one prospective cap that I have made so far for the Bay St. Clair Buccaneers, then. The font in question is ArgosGeorge. I couldn't find a block font that I thought looked good with this team, either in my available fonts or online, it seems. Or at least I don't think I have a block font that does, at the moment, Of course, I have some blocky fonts collected already, at least. But with the fonts I do have available of that certain kind right now, I don't believe any of them would work well with them here. I could be wrong about that, however, in any case. I may make other versions later for this team, whether you might choose to use them or not, obviously. But that is yet to be determined and all, as time permits and all, just so you know. Please do feel quite free to comment as you like and can here, then, on these just-made items, folks, especially EC and jg2977, within fair and just reason and all. CD out.

If you want to seed the IPA playoffs properly, going simply by current seeding in each league for it, you'll want to have Wynnamac and Belair Beach going against each other, along with Valmara and Volusia in the RU, it seems, with the first team in each pairing having the extra game in a best-of-seven series. As for the TU, you'd want the Racers going against the Red Sox and the Typhoons opposing the Rascals, with Rolling Hills and Turon having home-field advantage over their opponents.
IF you went with my suggestions here, as to the playoff matchups in the first round, I think Wynnamac would beat the Sunbirds, and Volusia perhaps beat the Blackhawks. As for the Racers, I think they might still have enough to beat the Red Sox, and the Rascals would perhaps beat the Typhoons, if I'd not be too mistaken here, but all the matchups might be closer than you might think in that round. If my predictions were accurate enough for the suggested first-round matchups, I'd think the Vigilantes might have enough to beat the Sundowners, and the Rascals might have enough to beat the Racers, which would mean the finals would be the Vigilantes versus the Rascals, if my predictions remained accurate enough. If White River makes it to the IPA Pro Cup, however slim their chances may be of that happening this time around, I'd really like to see them perhaps wearing some of the items I've made for them during the series, if I can. But that would be entirely up to you, of course, whether you use my suggested first-round matchups or not for the IPA post-season, EC. CD out.

if you went with my proposed/suggested playoff matchups, and Volusia and White River met in the IPA Pro Cup finals, I think the Rascals would likely win the title. But first they'd have to beat their other opponents, you know. Just a thought here, that's all. CD out.
