This is my 3rd week in Diamond League (only because i caught a Noodles and was able to sell and buy some players).Basically been a .500 team trying to see what i need to do to improve.

My SP are Cy Young,Santana,Hudson,Glavine and Kershaw 100
RP-Goose,Lowe, Campbell,Paige,Reardon,Sain, Wood and Plank

C=McCarver & Gibson
1B=Sisler
2B=Robinson
3B=Franco
SS=Vaughn
LF=Rose
CF=Charleston
RF=Slaughter
DH=Raines
Res=Lloyd,Kelly and Cross

Where do i go from here!!!

I'd say focus on pitching. Your offense is good but Cy Young being your ace isn't a good sign. He isn't a top 5 SP anymore. All the new good RHPs that came out last week are pushing him down to a bullpen guy or even not being used (if you got all the new guys).

Also hope you're running a lefty cheese park since 8/9 starters and 3/5 of rotation are lefty. I would consider pushing even more extreme in that direction, putting Plank in the rotation and/or using a lefty opener with your righty SPs as followers.

You’re not in a bad place. Being a .500 team at Diamond is nothing to sneeze at. I’m just edging up to the next step myself having made the playoffs last week as a wildcard and advancing to the LCS before getting knocked out. I’d say I have a 90-95 win worthy team right now.

The biggest thing that stand out right now on your roster is your bullpen. It took me a long time to accept that few reliever cards can compete with starters in the pen. Kimbrel and Goose are my only two true relievers left and Goose may get bumped soon. Movement and Control are so critical at the higher levels and watch out for pitchers with big platoon splits.
For the lineup, I’m still working to crack the code but with so many players nerfing their stadiums at the higher levels, I try to nerf-proof my lineup as much as possible by having effective platoons. There are some who use openers to negate lineup strategies like mine but there’s only so much I can do about that. Overall, Avoid Ks and defense are the two things I use as an initial screen for my roster. If you can’t avoid strikeouts or defend effectively then you are of no use to me.

The lineup looks viable for sure. For pitching do you have any of the other recent mission cards like Perry, Webb, Blue, Joss, etc? I'd say Sain and Paige need to be the first to go. Movement is really important at diamond+ and the low control on Paige will be a big issue he is probably at about 5-6 walks per 9 for you I'd imagine. Your defense is solid so focus on movement and at least good enough control to crank up your pitch around sliders a bit, if you have to sacrifice a stat it should be stuff.

And as previously mentioned make sure you're adjusting park factors. That can be a big swing in games and turn a .500 team into a 90+ win team pretty easily if you cater the park you play 81 games in to play to your teams strengths. You are not running a lot of big power bats with the exception of Gibson and Charleston, but you are running a lot of high gap guys like Rose, Franco, Vaughn, Raines, Slaughter so maybe consider suppressing HRs and increasing doubles/triples/avg.

It's too late to change them this week. For next week you can do it on Sunday after you're eliminated, or Monday morning.

I’ve been having trouble figuring out how to move away from Slaughter. Heilmann has been crap when I tried him in RF. Granted it was a small sample. I’m platooning Winfield with Slaughter now and it’s not imoressing me.

Slaughter is actually not that bad. He even sees play in PeL. I think it is a card everyone wants to find a better option for but until you're running guys like Keeler its tough. I have had really bad luck with Sisler the few times I've tried him out and I've gone to using Musial and Rose in that spot mostly. I think if I ever make it back to PeL and you see a lot more of the full lefty rotations I'll add a RHB for that slot.

With Raines still doing a solid job for me in left, my Yaz/Rose platoon has been working well at first. Yaz is devouring right handlers.

Your team is really good. If you are looking to improve then where do you stand in missions? Almost 1/3 of my current Diamond league completed all missions thus far. Franchise heroes 2 provided improvements in pitching.

Competing missions may help you get past 500 in Diamond. Maybe?
