Help Needed w Team

I am in the Diamond League level. I think I have some really great players. In some years I make the playoffs rank 3rd in pitching and 1st in runs scored. Last season had a losing records and this year will likely be relegated. What am I missing? Some of these players on other teams perform great. See my team in the attached screenshots - every player is 100 rated.

Your team looks at least competitive at Diamond. You may want to look at getting Verlander out of there, His Movement won’t hold up. Clark isn’t likely to be a long term option at 1B with his AvK. I, like you, need to bump up at catcher but that is going to be expensive. I think you are just having a down year.

Diamond leagues at this time are widely variable in strength. Last week I won the division with 104 wins, the week before 86 wins was only good for 4th place. I once won my division with 82 wins and was in a league so weak I won 113 games. You can always check on Monday morning to see how your week will go, by mousing over the team names and seeing how many diamond championships they have.

What are your park factors? You've got some really nice pieces for lefty cheese (Noodles, Reuss, Kershaw, Glavine is 4/5ths of a really good rotation). From the way you've got things set up now it looks like you're not doing any cheese though. I would highly recommend looking into that for next week.

I agree with professor ape as well regarding Verlander, Clark, and your catching situation being the biggest apparent weaknesses.

LHB Avg is set to 1.10 and LHB HR is set to 1.10. All other factors are 1.0....suggestions?

Minimize the righty factors, put all your LHP into the rotation and RHP into the bullpen. I bet that alone makes a large difference. You should be back in the playoffs in no time.

If you have any good lefty shortstops like Arky or Pop Lloyd, put them in and move Jackie to 2B, and get rid of Gordon. Otherwise your offense is already mostly lefties or switch hitters so you're good. Oh and play McCarver and/or Dickey at C (I saw you have them from your other thread).

Great, I do have Pop Lloyd too.

Not sure what your strategies are? This team looks much better than your record. You have a top notch CF. But all teams in Diamond seem good so a winning record is not always a given.

How far along are you on Franchise heroes collection? Many amazing pitchers popped into play last night.
