Private Leagues ?
I woke up this morning with this idea. Haven't totally fleshed it out, but wanted to get opinions...
If OOTP would allow us to form "private leagues" in Perfect Team, along with an administrator to add and subtract teams, both F2P and P2P teams could join and compete with friends and/or like minded players. The league format would be the same (3 division leagues) and a league would have to fill all 15 spots to exist. Teams would exist in two worlds (PT Pyramid AND the private league) but the singular 162 game schedule would feed both standings. With a little extra effort, a menu could be added to set the leagues limits on cards (ie: no Live cards, no Futures, no BALs, etc.). Private leagues could be F2P or P2P - whatever the group of friends wanted, and private leagues would remain fixed - or only changed by the league administrator. The concept would put the responsibility of building "friends" leagues on the players - not the PT programming. Thoughts?

The Devs worked really hard to nerf the points one can earn through achievements to drive people to buy more points. I have a hard time picturing them giving us twice the opportunities for achievements. Unless you mean to say the private leagues would generate no points...in which case it probably should be noted in your OP. Even if the game to game achievements are only fed to the Pyramid layout, you still have the points for going to the playoffs, end of year statistical achievements, etc. that would need to be turned off for the private leagues. |

I prefer my idea where 30 people could get together and stay in their own league in perpetuity.

I could see this working along side the primary league structure. To make it fair to everyone, I would think that the “Friends Leagues” would not generate PPs much like the tournaments don’t.

Good enough for me. They could also end up being proving grounds for new strategies or team builds without the risk of relegation. It's win-win.

I don’t see a downside other than the developers having to do the work. I hear that they are bored with nothing to do so they can work on this right after they take care of my Auction/Trade House idea.

Private Leagues would be handled the same way as Friend's Leagues are now - Same team rosters and PPs would only be earned once. The intention here is to allow 15 (or 30) teams to be together in a season-to-season league IN ADDITION to the teams existence in the PT Pyramid.
