Lightbulb Suggestion to limit repetitive rosters in silver leagues and higher

Hey, great game, been playing for years and years.

I've had a lot of fun this year getting into PT, but it seems that roster construction gets a little.. static.. above a certain point.

I think that in the next iteration of Perfect Team, rather than having specific card rewards, we should get position + rating rewards.

ie. rather than rewarding a 92 Rico Carty for the Team Missions - Atlanta #1 collection, we could receive a random LF with a 92 rating (or a range from 91-94 or something)

I feel like we'd avoid today's situation where ~27 teams have the same 3 starters in their rotation and the same players at ~4 positions.

Open to feedback, but seeing C. Young lose to C. Young while E. Slaughter hits homeruns for both teams is a box score I've grown a little tired of.

One conversation that came up a month or two ago was the idea of introducing manager and stadium cards. The managers would have certain boosts (and maybe penalties) that apply to your entire team. An Earl Weaver card may boost your hitters’ Power and pitchers’ Stamina. Whitey Herzog might boost your players’ Base Running and Stealing. Managers with smaller boosts would be more common Iron and Bronze going up to rare Perfect managers with significant boosts. This could give some variety in the way that the same card plays on different teams.

The stadium cards would replace the ability to freely adjust your stadium attributes. Everyone starts with a neutral park and you need to own a stadium card to change it. The more that a stadium diverges from neutral park factors, the higher the level of the card.

It does, but in my experience it then opens up again as multiple paths through the collection missions, and better cards, become available in most cases, not to mention the exotica introduced as tourney rewards.

I like this a lot.

The addition of managers, coaches or stadiums would be pretty interesting. I like the idea that a card can be either good or bad depending on context, instead of universally good or bad.
