Question About Using “Pre-Made” Schedules

Forgive me if this seems like an elementary question, but I have not really ever messed with schedules too much.

Can I take an existing schedule and change the start date on it? Also, I assume I will need to adhere to the same number of games played in the custom schedule?

So let’s say I wanted to take the AAA schedule for this year, and rather than have it begin Tuesday May 4th, is there a way I can change it to say Monday, April 5th? ,or does it still need to be the same day of the week? Can I even do this at all?

I’m also struggling to find weekend schedules for the Italian league and some of the other European leagues where the setup (two man rotations) is designed for weekend play.

I am a total novice when it comes to schedules as you can see, so any knowledge or help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

One more question for anyone in the know...when generating fictional schedules, is there a way to make sure the only days a team can have off are Mondays and Thursdays?

I'm not sure any fictional schedule does that.

Yea I thought that would likely be the case. They released the Spanish league schedule as a regular schedule, when it should be weekends…which isn’t a huge deal I guess…but it also has a two man rotation and only 22 players on the roster.

So the roster is built for only weekend games. I couldn’t find another schedule for this league to replicate.

Sure, you can do that. But if the schedule is set to start on a Tuesday and you change it to a Monday, then every day gets moved up one. So, for instance, if the schedule has games on every Saturday and Sunday, you'll have games on every Friday and Saturday and you might have a lot of Sundays as off-days.

I suggest posting a request in the schedules sub-forum. I'd imagine that would be one of the easier schedules to create.

there's a force on day checkbox or adjust if matching file found etc... it's directly under the other schedule settings in same area - 'options' tab

could look through the schedules forum? might have one custom made already.

as far as only mondays and thursdays off, that has to be custom made.

eg. i have a 3 division 10 team league. each plays a balanced schedule within their 10 team division and they play 6 games on 1 day off. if using the start on specific day option, can force a specific day off. Anyway... no way the generator can do that as is. it had to be made from scratch.

in my leagues, October is the playoffs again.. no ASG helps.

if systematic, can makea schedule fairly easily.. but time consuming nonetheless with larger leagues.
