We're actually enabling the posting system in the CPBL, LMB and ABL for the next patch.

Not so much because of this thread, the discussion here is a happy coincidence, but just because it does make sense and will help fix the LMB/top prospects issue (along with some PCM changes as well).

The maximum amounts are somewhat random, though lower than for the KBO and ***. They're probably not super important, as they'll only apply in a few cases, definitely not enough to wreck MLB teams finances. If a player costs 'too much', teams just won't bid on them.

Is there an estimated time of arrival for the patch?

Maybe early the week after next, but that's just a guesstimate.

Yes, thanks Lucas…it looks like there may be enough tweaks to wait for the patch before starting a new league.

I've tested this, and so far it looks good with the lower PCM's and $10 million maximum posting fee. In a typical year, the Mexican League will have half a dozen players posted, usually in the $1 to $2 million range for posting fee. Most are 1.5 to 2 star players. Very few get signed by MLB, and those who do are usually on the cusp of getting a 25 man roster spot.

What PCMs are you using exactly?

While we are on the subject of posting, for anyone who might have an idea: why is the Japan maximum posting fee $20 million, while the maximum KBO fee is $25 million?

I guess that just doesn’t make sense to me since better talent comes from Japan as opposed to Korea.

Here they are. Also, I changed the minimum service years for free agency from "2" to "6" to match the Mexican League's rules. And unchecked the box for "allow players to be purchased by other leagues".

Bumping this up because of a question I have with PCMs...

Should fielding and running speed PCMs follow the other PCMs, or should they be closer to default?

Especially running speed, as that seems to be purely physical and not skill-based.

I rarely move Pitcher Stamina, Defense or Running Speed below .950

This is a good question...and I will try to give you Ann answer as best I can...although I am sure the developers can weigh in with much more expertise.

For most of the higher echelon league, this IS in fact the case, but for some of the others, it may be necessary so that the AI doesn't overinflated the value of players at these levels without realistically sacrificing other attributes such as power, contact, eye etc..

Remember, the AI looks at the TOTAL valuation of a player, and would likely see a 50 rated player Fromm Japan, the same as a 50 rated player from the CPBL. So by lowering the speed and fielding ratings, you can realistically balance out the difference without sacrificing too much in other area (which wouldn't be realistic)
