Major league auto-renewal contracts get switched to minor league contracts

Longstanding issue with an online league:

Major league auto-renewal contracts are changed to minor league contracts for players ending the season on Triple-A rosters, forcing the commish to have to manually edit dozens of contracts every November.

How can we fix this so major league auto-renewals are automatically renewed?

Does anyone know why contracts that should be auto-renewal contracts are converted to minor league contracts at the end of the season?
