Real Start with Draft

When will Real Start include minor league roster updates from the upcoming draft? I am waiting to blow up my favorite team until after the All-Star break and draft.

Markus or Matt I believe replied to me and saying it might take a couple of days until after the draft is complete but the draft will be in live start.

It might be more than a couple days, but it shouldn't be too terribly long after.

I was going through the draft today and noticed like 5 or so players not in the database (Tristan peters off the top of my head).

Will those players be added when the finished draft hits live start? I don’t mind creating myself but if I don’t have to it’ll save me some time lol.

Most of the guys missing are not actually 'missing', more just not activated in the game yet. Peters would be one of these. I think there were 3 guys total so far who were truly missing from our db.

Everyone drafted will get added to the game, but there are a couple caveats to that.

One, given the limitations on how many players get loaded in-game from the db, even if they're in the db and set as active, certain players may not actually show up in-game if the AI doesn't see them as good enough to include in the draft class. This would primarily apply to relief pitchers but possibly a few other guys as well.

There are a couple possible solutions here, but any of these will require a new patch to implement and even then, might not be perfect.

Two, even for those added and activated, they won't actually show up until the next patch comes out. In fact as far as I know at the moment, any draft related updates in Live start will have to wait until the next patch, as we need to physically include the draft file in the game installation.

There might be ways around that, we'll check things out. But for now, I'd assume the updated draft info will not be in the Live start until the next patch. Which will be probably a couple weeks.

We can probably post a draft file here for folks to download and use before that though. It won't add in any missing players, but would at least let you assign the players already present in the db to the correct teams.

In fact, here's a draft list to use updated for the first ten rounds!

To use it, put it into your Out of the Park Baseball 22\data\stats folder (it should overwrite a blank file with the same name already there)

Then if you start a new 'Live Start' game, the players will be automatically loaded to the correct teams. (They're all set as having already been signed, otherwise it wouldn't work).

Or if you're playing a regular game, you can load this on the draft screen once you get to the day of the draft. It will add all the players to their teams and automatically end the draft

Just be aware, some players are not in the game yet, so obviously those guys won't be on their teams until we release a patch.

I'll post a new one Thursday (since tomorrow is a holiday here in France) that will update rounds 11-20

Hmm, might be an error in the id's then. I'll double check.

Sorry about that, my bad!

The team id's for the Brewers and Astros were transposed for the picks in rounds 3-10 in the file above

The file attached here fixes this (I also updated the post above with the new file).
