Revenue Budget Question
hey all,
Just advance from 20 to 22. The league is a revenue determines budget, not owner. My projected budget in 22 is about 12 mil LESS than the projected budget in ootp20 on the same day with the same data. The difference is the gate lost/gained revenue based on a 20% gate share. My Gate Share gained is just over 12 mil on the accounting page. Is my budget in 22 going to really be 12 mil less than I had planned? That seems like an insanely bad idea and a problem with the visiting gate feature no? Why would it negatively impact the budget like that?

We did just find some slight issues with how the gate share gets projected, so it may shift slightly in the next patch. Also, some of those gate share calculations have been split out between versions, so it's possible some pieces might be missing gate in the update or projections and get compiled into other buckets.
Otherwise, keep in mind projections are just projections, so once the games are played out, the actual values get used. Every version shifts calculations a little so things can change when updating. Sent from my SM-A526W using Tapatalk |

Re the revenue numbers. The gate share was always included in the total gate total through OOTP21.
In 22 as you said its split out to show the revenue you earn from gate share. The problem I am seeing is, I don't think the budget that is supposed to be based on revenue is adding in the gate share total. So I am earning nearly 12mil in revenue but it's not reflected in my budget because of the separation of accounting codes. And I believe it should be in the budget. The budget projection can be off slightly sure... but when it comes to "revenue determining the budget", it's projection is never off by millions. Quote:

I'm guessing too, but I bet the teams that would have a negative number in revenue lost, will get that $ added into their budget.
I think the formula is backwards in terms of determining budgets based on revenue. Quote:

I posted a bug report, because I believe there is evidence that the budget formula is wrong and not including the positive or negative from gate share.
Those with positive gate share are not getting that $ added to their budget in leagues where revenue determines budget. Those with negative gate share are getting that number turned into a POSITIVE and it's added to their budget even though it's not money they have earned. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...23#post4805523
