When using historical PCMs, how do Sabermetic PCMs contribute?

Can someone explain how Traditional and Sabermetric PCMs work together?

I am using historical PCMs to start a league from an older era -- but the league is NOT a major league, it's more AAA level. The game correctly imported the traditional PCMs using the historical database, and because I set the league at AAA, the Sabermetic PCMs are correctly loaded as well. But as I create fictional players (through the free agent screen, not "fill all teams...", will the game create multiply these two factors together?

What I'm trying to do is to have multiple historic leagues that are independent of each other--and play on different levels. So, if league 1 is major league level and league 2 is AAA level, the players in league 2 should not be as good as the players in league 1.

SO, if the leagues were in, say in 1888, batting contact is at 1.040, and batting power is at .223. That's good for league 1, as this represents era-specific players. But as league 2 is inferior, I'm wondering do I have to manually adjust the traditional PCMS downward to get the appropriate level of play in league 2, or will the game do this because, at AAA, the Sabermetic PCMs are already set to 85%?

Lastly, if I have to manually adjust the traditional PCMs, how do I handle pitchers? The Sabremetric PCMs are batter focused. As OOTP is a stats-driven application, this makes sense, but I'd also want to be sure I have pitchers in league 2 who are, well 85% as good as pitchers in league 1. Right?

Thanks for any insight.

unless you want something different from a normal "AAA" or any other league level selected, it should change all that stuff for you, yes. the 'AAAA' might be a bit different, as you'd have to tweak something from AAA or if that league is included with OOTP, screenshot what they use and copy it over.

i'd leave sabermetric pcms whatever they are for default in each respective league too. if doing somethign more custom, i'd look at how they are proportionally different in the default leagues and not drift too far from 'normal' for too many modifiers, if you want a similarly tiered quality as the real ml-aaa-aa-... is modeled in ootp

maybe, pitching is derived from those sabermetric pcm's... it's the other half of the same coin.
