I'm not sure if you are neglecting to read what we have told you or you opt to openly ignoring it.

It has been mentioned many times, I'll bold it and underline it for you.

CREATE A BACKUP OF THESE INSTEAD OF A DIRECT INSTALL INTO YOUR BALLPARKS FOLDER. EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE OOTP, IT WILL OVERRIDE THE CUSTOM SETTING BECAUSE THE 3D STADIUMS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE GAME AND HAVE UPDATES IF NECESSARY. THEREFORE, ANY TIME YOU UPDATE THE GAME, IT WILL OVERRIDE THE EDITED ADVERTISING.

Thank you, Nutt.
Way back in a universe, far, far away (on the first post) I stated the following. After creating a backup folder, restoring the modded files only takes a few seconds.

Here's my quote.
Whenever you patch the game the default stadiums will have these edited files updated. Therefore you need to copy your edited files back to the original folders. For example if you make edits to the Pittsburgh Pirates PNC Park the files are in Z:\.....\OOTP Baseball 22\data\ballparks\models\pnc_park. Due to different installation paths you need to find your exact folder. Each MLB and KBO stadium has their own folder. My suggestion is to make a backup folder with the files you want to copy back after every patch. Keep the exact folder structure as OOTP 22 was installed. A simple copy and paste is needed to restore your changes.
1) create a 'Backup Data' folder in your Z:\.....\OOTP Baseball 22 folder
2) inside 'Backup Data' create a 'data' folder
3) inside 'data' create a 'ballparks' folder
4) inside 'ballparks' create a 'models' folder
5) inside 'models' create your team(s) stadium folder(s)
ex) for Pittsburgh create 'pnc_park'
for St' Louis create 'busch_stadium'
The WEBP files you edit will be saved to the stadium specific folder.
6) after a patch copy the Z:\.....\OOTP Baseball 22\Backup Data\data folder. Paste to the Z:\.....\OOTP Baseball 22 folder overwriting the data.

Not only did you make it on the first post, you posted it somewhere along the lines again later, and then I streamlined it for the same person asking above about how to install and the warning.

Of course, this is his second time mentioning it does this when updating so I don't think he reads all posts.

Thank you so much for this fine work.

I have been doing an in depth simulation of the 2021 season and only four teams remain. I have been providing some of the playoff games on Twitch which are available if you search kcstengelsr. Four teams remain and I intend to use the signage mod for all four ballparks.

*My simulation took all year to complete as I started with the real opening day rosters and the original out-of-the-box player ratings and went only one day at a time because in Commissioner Mode I every day adjusted the active rosters of all teams for transactions and injuries with fake transactions and injuries turned off. I left aging and development at default and all games required the AI managers to make all in-game moves without human intervention by my part. The result was a bit different than the actual season. Here is one example without using the signage mod: https://www.twitch.tv/kcstengelsr/video/1170970938 (my Twitch videos stay for 14 days).

This has been a time consuming but fun season using OOTP22. The signage mod is excellent and I will have it in the remaining team's ballparks for my Twitch League Championship Series games and for the World Series.

Thanks to everyone who downloaded the advertising updates. Hopefully you enjoyed the added realism. See y'all in OOTP 23. Maybe these will still work.

This mod has added a realistic atmosphere to every ballpark. Something OOTP obviously can't do due to licensing which makes this easily my favorite mod.

I was hoping you guys would be back for v23 and the bold part makes me smile. If not I at least hope these mods will work. While it would be nice to have them updated to whatever they are in 2022, having 2021 mods still work, giving us real companies, would be better than going back to default fictional ads.

In any case, and I've said it before, thank you so much for making these and adding to the experience.

I guess we will have to wait and see what OOTP23 has to find out if this special stadium advertising mod can be used, but I did make a YouTube video of a game with OOTP22 which features micropterus58's work applied to Dodger Stadium.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUif...el=kcstengelsr
And I have a Twitch game of OOTP22 using micropetrus58's efforts at Chicago's Guaranteed Rate Field: https://www.twitch.tv/kcstengelsr/video/1176653379
(My Twitch link should be good for the next dozen days or so as I post this since they only stay for 14 days, but the Youtube link should be up for an indefinite time.)

The mod certainly improves to look of manual games since it provides more realism and detail. Thank you, micropterus58!

They spent a ton of time on the new stadiums for this version. I will be surprised if there are any changes to the stadiums or system of adding ad mods.

My guess is for v23 they move on to improving player models and try to get them up to the same quality level the stadiums have now.

Just stumbled on to this. I understand you want the ballparks to be as accurate as possible with the real adverts, but let me ask you something:

Why would you want to do that? Are those companies paying you to use their logos in the game? Are you getting a cut for inserting those ads? If so, have at it! But, you're not...

This is coming from a person who's salary is paid by advertising. Most of these companies are greedy, insidious, and disgusting (read: Nike) so unless they are cutting you a large check for your work, why bother? If I am displaying an advert, eff you, pay me! Don't do them any favors.

As someone who is completely against having any advertisements in the field of play (ya know, how it used to be before that slimeball Larry Luccino broke the seal in the mid-90s). I believe it has gone off the rails and cheapens the on-field product; I'd want to know how to replace them with the padding from the outfield wall!

I guess it’s so that people have the feeling they are at the real stadium that see on TV ir in person. I can understand iconic ads like the Citgo sign, but I don’t need every ad to be exactly as is it. Now having said that, doing all of the historical stadiums has taught me that there are many who do prefer as close to perfection as they can get.

So unless we make it all about the money and get paid we should not do this? In other words be a slime ball like the advertisers? You know, the very slime balls that pay your salary? Got it. Sounds like you fit right into that world..

You want to be paid, the advertiser wants to be paid. Call me tight but I'm just happy I can d'load this pack at not cost Truth be told if it were d'load content and I had to pay an extra $5 because of licensing I would

You start out asking why a person playing a sports simulation would want to make their league be as accurate as possible. Is this a serious question? The goal I think, for most of us playing any MLB game(99.9%?), is to have a baseball world that is as "accurate as possible". Surprising, right?

I'll bet the first thing you do when you get your new copy of OOTP is go in and change all of the stadium names removing all commercial sponsors, right? Hell, when it comes down to it by buying and playing OOTP you are paying MLB and MBLPA (ie slime balls only out for a buck)for all kinds of images. This is ok? Shouldn't they be paying Markus, and even us the users, for promoting their game?

You may not like the ads in ballparks, fair enough. But this Larry Luciano did not break the seal he returned to baseball's history of having ads in ballparks. When players are being paid upwards of $30 mil per season the revenue has to come from somewhere. You and I may not like that and think it's obscene but it is the world of sports and it's not changing. Same as gamers are not going to change in wanting a realistic world to play in.

I think your effort would be better spent posting\asking mod makers here if there might be a way to remove all ads from the parks? Maybe it would be as simple as making the panels transparent?

Advertising has been in baseball since the 1870s. It's in the stadium names like Wrigley Field. Only a few currently don't have naming rights. Angel Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Fenway Park, Kauffman Stadium, Nationals Park, Oakland Coliseum, Oriole Park and Yankee Stadium. It's on the bats and all other equipment. It was not started by Larry Lucchino and certainly not in the 1990s. Advertising is everywhere. As stated above, it's for the realism.

A little history.

I like using them for accuracy. Older parks have the standard Marlboro sign in their parks, why have you never complained about those? Also many of the OOTP advertisements look weird compared to real ads.

Exactly..Sortitoutsi actually charges a yearly subscription rate for FM users to download all of their face packs, advertising, logos etc... Now I will admit they are extremely well done...but people here are simply doing it for the love of OOTP. The truth is, we like the ballparks to look and feel as realistic as possible. For us, this isn't about money.
