How to spend above the $5m Int'l Signing limit?

My Rays have a pool of $6,431,000 to spend. Even in commish mode. I'm not able to sign someone who is at $5m but wants more.

It's crazy that a 3 star potential wants that much, but I'd like to grab a player, but is there any way to do so without "cheating" and just placing him in my system?

MLB uses a hard cap IRL, so you would have to go into the settings and uncheck the Use Hard Cap checkbox for International Amateur F/A.

But if there is a hard cap then nobody else can sign him either, correct? So his asking price ends up dropping after a while.

I think the Braves asked themselves this and got into lots of trouble for it

Just a thought - and a word of caution.
Remember that if you uncheck the hard cap of $5m, other teams can spend whatever they like on IIFA's too.
And since you're the Rays, there are plenty of teams capable of out-spending you. Like, pretty much every other team except the Marlins.
The hard cap works best for small market teams, levelling the playing field.
It works even better for teams who ignore it....until they get caught, like the Braves a few years ago. But that's another story. LOL.
