So much ducking and weaving with the puns around that tantalising surname...

Here's 5 more undeads mainly from 1901 whenever you get the chance thanks bud.

Stan Baumgartner
Frank Foutz
Archie "Lumbago" Stimmel - man they just don't give 'em nicknames like they used to...
Jack Harper
Dale Gear

Raymond Anthony Yanus a.k.a "Bud" spent time as a coach, a coach with a minor league baseball card, and a coach without a smile that was perfect to capture his visage with facegen. Here's Bud Yanus, ready for his close-up....

Presenting Frank Foutz from the 1901 Orioles, who I believed went to NYC to become the Yanks. Frankie stayed behind though... Old and new side by side and new fg file below...

Archie Stimmel, but you may call him "Lumbago"... though I have no idea why you would.... I presume he's not offended by it but with a .208 winning percentage, I think he was just happy to be there...

I would have thought lumbago a condition that would make baseball - especially at the pro level - absolutely out of the question. Not for our Arch.

Thanks bud.

Dale Gear went a lifetime 4-13 and earned himself a wikipedia page. Not sure how many hits this 1901 Senator gets but I learned he was the first Kansas Jayhawk student to get to the majors, so I learned something

He started his career off well in my save, going 6-0 / 2.35 as a reliever for the O's. Let's see if he can keep that going now that he looks rejuvenated.

Thanks again!

Be patient with Jack Harper, you'll at least get 1904 out of him before he fades into history...

LandsdowneSt, I have one for you.

I've gotten pretty good creating facegens. This one has been a challenge and I can't figure out what to do without darkening the face. I'm using the free version of Modeller. PS - I'll share my models with the community soon.

This is the best version of an aged Travis "Gookie" Dawkins profile pic I could find. Sorry it's so large. He's now the manager of the Daytona Tortugas. Anyway, every time I use PhotoFit and generate the model (attached), the neck is always white, or much lighter than the face. Any thoughts?

I fear that once seen, Stan Baumgartner cannot be unseen. My child saw the original facegen of Stan over my shoulder, shrieked, and ran from the room. Someday, I'll pay a therapist as she recounts that evil, unearthly and misshapen lefty pitcher. Let him rest with the damned. I see the picture on line that was used to generate it. Avoid it. Nay, never even let your eyes linger upon it. .. so I used a new picture akin to, but larger than, the bRef picture. Here he is. Here's hoping the Phils can resume having kids in the stands now...

Most of these seem to be from the core facegen pack so, if it is easier, just give me the name and date range of the player and if he looks undead in my game on import, I'll trust that's the image to revise. Should be easier than you having to post the .fg files for me

Another one who has started my save promisingly with 23 wins for Dem O's.

OK so rather than clutter the thread up doing them 5x5 I thought it better to zip them up by year as I progress and you can just knock them off as time permits. Let me know if this doesn't suit. I'm doing a full 1901-present save so we should knock off a whole bunch along the way.

Rest of '01 attached - not too bad, 41 in all.

Thanks again

Sorry, must have posted at same time - let me know which works better for you and will proceed thus.

Stan B is actually on my Hofstra side in another save, and on behalf of the squad, students and fans I thank you for making life with him just that bit more bearable. It was a bit like the Moley Moley situation in Austin Powers...

And here's a bit of a side project if you feel inclined. The PBL save I mentioned earlier also features real-life managers. I have fg for all except the following. If you've got the urge would love to complete the set:

Connie Mack
Sparky Anderson
Terry Francona
Wilbert Robinson
Earl Weaver

Thanks advance

Ah, Slimkibbles, the white beard/white neck issue. I feel your pain.

The best way to deal with it is at the source file, so I took the image you sent, used Corel's Darken/Lighten tool at 20% opacity and dabbed at the salt & pepper beard such that the chin line and out-of-picture neck area was mostly pepper. That made enough of a difference to make it work. I think had I done more, you'd lose the gray in the beard totally.

New file attached as you had it, that is, as the Major League ID (as I assumed you did not want to overwrite his existing Minor League ID which takes precedence on imports and must be manually removed for the dawkitr01.fg file to generate the image). Thanks for sending the request!

Luckymann, It's a federal holiday for me tomorrow (which was a nice afternoon surprise) so I'll go through those 1901 files then. For the next batch, let's try just listing the names and year and I should be able to discern the file easily enough. Should save you some time.

OK bud, will proceed in this fashion from here on in. Still finishing up 1901 and obviously from now on it'll only be rookies coming into the league so far fewer I'd presume.

Where are you located? Enjoy the day off!

You have to ask? As it's a facegen thread, I'll let the following 61 players (well, 60 as Babe's in there twice) from your sim's era give you a hint...
