Turn off 3D?

Is there a way to turn off the 3D and go back to old school text only ?!

Basically, back to a faster, text based sim where you can get through games more quickly but still control each at bat.

I feel like a kid who asked for a beater for his 16th birthday, and got a Lamborghini. This game is amazing, but I think all I wanted was an updated MLB manager

Thanks Markus. What about a more simplified text? With the limited space, if you’re trying to move through the game quickly, the result of the AB is sometimes lost.

Wow, I think the 3D is a gamer changer in OOTO GO. It's so much faster than playing on my laptop, much clearer images, faster, smoother game play. Once you get used to control the speed of a game gets even quicker. I'm just stunned with the development of OOTP GO from manager. But not everyone likes to play the same & I definitely can understand the OP asking. Maybe coming soon, dunno.

To clarify, this game is gorgeous. As someone who has played since 02 (!!!) this is an absolute dream. OOTP has always differentiated itself because they respond to community feedback. I truly appreciate all they do.

If you look closely in that picture you'll see the 3d players in the background.

You can set this just like in the desktop version. I think it's under settings once you're in the game.

Instant speed eliminates animation. However, it not easy to get results of at bat!

Very fast can work well.

The webcast view would be a nice option at some point in the future if possible.

I always liked seeing the pitch spread.

I agree with sentiments expressed here, except I feel and believe others agree, that the OOTP interface is actually inferior to iootp/MLBM. The 3D slows the game and is a little fun, but definitely not worth it. I would take a look once in a while if you could turn it off (ala PSF) but it interferes with text and slows things down.

Also, where is the pitcher tiredness status?

Unfortunately, it might be the reason some of us can't play it. I have a Fire 7 tablet. With only 1 G of memory, it can't seem to handle OOTP Go, which requires 2 G. Oh well.

The 3D is slick and works really well but would love to see the text only option. What I have always done in the mobile app is manage a team without simming. So where I played in a 9 inning game in 7-9 minutes the time has tripled. I travel a lot and if I have a one hour commute I would get 4 or 5 games in, now it would be one and maybe two. If there was the option I would use 3D when I had a "big game" but otherwise text to move the season along. I would also like the text in 3D on top because I still read it and have to keep looking down.

It's not the end of the world, the app is like a travel/spare time lite version of how I play the desktop version. For me, and it's different for everyone I would put text ahead of my want for commissioner mode where I can execute real transactions easier.

If you go to view select pitcher/batter. It will come on screen after each AB

Yeah, it's not the end of the world. The app is free, after all, so I have no right to complain if I can't play it.

But this is why I have never been interested in 3D games, even for the PC. To me, they just hog system resources, and that translates to fewer people being able to play the game.

I'm a text and 2D guy, and always will be. I don't even bother with 3D graphics when I play OOTP on my PC.

I don't understand why we need 3D graphics for a game you play on the relatively small screen of a phone or tablet, but whatever.

I'm glad others can enjoy the new app.
