Francisco Mendoza forced extra innings with a big home run but the Royals took the game in 11, besting the Jays, 7-6.

Eddie Murray also homered for Toronto.

It was a game where no lead was ever safe. Francisco Mendoza went 4 for 6 with a triple, a double, and two singles but it was his 12th inning, bases loaded walk that gave the Blue Jays a 12-11 win over the Royals.

Paul Molitor collected five hits and Joe Carter homered.

Darren Daulton had a good day, going 2 for 4 with a home run and driving in all four Toronto runs, but it wasn't enough as the Jays fell 5-4 to the Royals.

It was a big day for young Ramon Martinez! He pitched a 3-hit shut out as the Blue Jays downed Cleveland 7-0!

Todd Stottlemyre had the best start of his young career as he took a shutout into the 9th, leading the Blue Jays to a 3-1 win over Cleveland.

All Toronto's runs came off a big homer by Joe Carter.

The game seemed to be in hand but Lee Smith blew his second save of the season and Cleveland slipped by, beating the Jays, 5-3.

A great outing by Jim Kane was wasted.
