Trades showing up as expired

I am playing OOTP 2021.

I started this run last year, but haven't played for maybe six months. Now that I picked the game back up, almost every trade response shows up in my inbox as "expired" even when it is a trade that has just been agreed to that day.

The below image shows exactly this happening. Please note that this was the first response to an offseason trade.

This is happening on about 80% of all trades. It is making the GM side of the game nearly unplayable.

One thing that can cause this is if the status of any of the players involved changes (if they go on the DL, get moved to another team etc).

Is any of that the case here, or is that not an issue?

I don't think that is the case, since many times if I write down the trade beforehand and then re-suggest it after the Accepted/Expired message, it goes through normally.

Also, this didn't start happening until I picked the game up again this month. I had run into the circumstance you talk about, but only maybe once or twice a season. Now it happens with about 80% frequency, and I am the kind of GM who is always looking to make moves in my minor system, so I am getting dozens of these a season.

I'll double check the next time I run into the message, just to be sure, and post the result here.

I ran a test in the offseason. Trades only involving my players (i.e. in exchange for cash) also prompted the same outcome.

If you're able to upload the league files where this is happening, preferably stopped on a day with a trade that isn't working showing up, that would help us check this out. Thanks!

This happens to me all the time as well, I would agree, about 80% of the time, I have to resubmit the same exact trade, and then it works just fine.

I need to check if the players involved can be added to another trade to figure out if the offer vanished or is just pending.

I have been able to capture this. Uploaded SecondGame.zip to the FTP site. Trade accepted, but showing up as expired on the current day.

I do have one thing to add to this. I have noticed that when this does happen, the first time you click on the trade news item, just before it shows as expired, it shows the actual text of the trade info, then immediately flickers to 'expired'. And this doesn't only happen with 'accepted' trades, it happens with 'almost' trades as well.

Any update on this? I'm on the latest version and it is still happening, probably the most frustrating issue I have with this game.

Yeah, I believe we fixed up some instances that were causing this to occur. Not sure if that will completely prevent this from ever happening again, but it should be much better at least next patch.

I began have the Trade expired issue in "21" and now have began having the same thing begin in "22". Just as has been previously explained.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

This bug fix is working way better for me now, thanks for addressing it, I am on the latest patch.
