18-team league?

Right, so I'm super confused.

I'd been stuck in Bronze for about four seasons, always compiling a winning record but missing the playoffs to money-spent teams. No issue there.

Same thing happened last week. Now, 8 teams are meant to get promoted from Bronze, so missing the playoffs should have meant I stayed in Bronze.

But no. Despite expecting to find myself in Bronze again this season, I'm actually in Silver .251.

And… there's only 18, not 30, teams in Silver .251: two divisions of five and two divisions of four.

Every other Silver league I've looked at has the full 30 teams you would expect.

I'm very lost (though definitely not complaining about being promoted) - any ideas what happened?

The number of teams in silver is not evenly divisible by 30, so the computer makes adjustments to get all the teams into leagues by varying the size of 1 or more leagues. Some leagues can go over 30 teams to solve that problem as well.

Over 30? Really, I've never seen a league over 30, plenty of short ones, but never over. Except, Perfect League which is designed to be over 30.
