Qualified to learn

If player is qualified to learn a position, can you put him in the depth chart for the position, to get occasional play, or do you specifically have to force the new position?

Play the player at the position for which he's eligible, that you want him to learn. His rating will increase with use at that position as the season drags on and he gets playing time at that spot.

If you can assign them the position they will play there, regardless if they have 0 skill but can be trained in that position. As they play games they will gain skill at that position.

I understand that I can assign them to a position, but I wanted to make sure that if I put them in the depth chart as "Every 5th game" or whatever, the AI will follow that instruction.

I will give it a try and see how it goes.
