Disappearing Player

I have a question I don't think I've ever seen. A new 100 PEFECT CARD card was released into the AH & was set to be sold in 24 hours. Lots of bids were put on it and finally the card was sold but I missed out on the card. This happened right around 3-4 weeks ago. Ever since then I been looking out several times a day for another card of it to come out.....nothing. So, just out of curiosity I searched for card to see how it has been performing..Well the thing is nobody has the card. It doesn't show up in any league I check in. Well since it was a Perfect 100 and the price paid for it was over 500,000 PP, I figured somebody must be using it. But nothing ever can I find on it. Where has this card gone? If somebody spent that much & not playing it why? Are they hiding & hoarding the card so no one else can get? Are there other leagues where it can be?

I didn't know a name was needed to answer this question. You'd find same results I've had...which is none. It's been issued bc it's in the master list. I thought I might have imagined it bc I can't find it using seach. I'kk guess it's deactivated but why after someone spent 529,328 on it

The in-game search only checks your individual league, not the universe. So there's hundreds of leagues out there, presumably someone on one of the other teams bought him.

I know....But does the 3 teams a owner has have & their AH reveal all available cards?

I even checked the other 2 universes i'm in too....I kinda thought just those 3 all have same AH...well thats what OOTP team member told me a couple years ago

The auction house is shared between all teams, but it only lists cards who someone has listed. So for rarer cards, it's highly possible that nobody has them listed at the moment to sell. If they're not there and you want to buy them, you can either use the channels on the forums or on discord to see if someone might be willing to sell.

My comment was related to the regular league search - that only searches your individual league for players if you want to see someone's current stats.

No I understand about the auction house. With the 3 teams I have and I do a player search I will see every team that has a player listed that I search for on active or reserve and if I click on the player I can see all stats that player has amassed as he plays even if he's not for sale. It will even show my team having the player if I actually have him. JUst answer this if you can....If I disable at card can other teams still see that card?

The search function will search the particular league your in, including players not active for teams in that league. So if it is a player on someone's reserve roster it will show up in a search, if that is what you're asking.

Yes I know this...Geez, I really thought it was a simply question by using AH & Search words. But does a deactivated player show up in a search? I'm thinking no bc so many times you will play a team that uses roster to get him to playoffs then BOOM, Perfect Cards will then appear in their lineups for playoffs. Tell you what..the player I'm searching for is BILLY PIERCE 100 PERFECT. I got outbid for him probably 3-4 weeks ago. Well I decided to do a search just to see how he was doing in whatever league/universe he's in. I did a SEARCH in the 3 leagues I'm allowed to participate in and I could NOT locate him. So I'm thinking why buy him at such huge cost and not use him? Good for him/her to do so, but kind takes spirit out of game which doesn't matter here as long as you can stay in lower tiers to crush opponents. Seems funny too that only ONE (1) Billy Pierce was ever put to auction even owned? I dunno. it was just a simple question I was search for an answer to. I bid on a player. Was outbid on it. 3-4 weeks later wanted to see how he was performing. The reason I ask is ONE of my 3 teams I use White Sox players only. Which there is only a LIVE card for MVP Jose Abreu available and it's useless even in lower leagues, I have to use a Pete Ward card out of 15 available White Sox first basemen in AH. LOL Some teams are not thought highly of in PT. This should be for anothe discussion thought

It definitely helps having a name . That card is obviously still very rare, as I only found 1 copy in the DLL league. Would you like a screenshot to look at?

Two things...First, for a player that is inactive on my team, he does not come up in the search results. Therefore, I'd say that you cannot see inactive players on other teams.

Second, do you realize there are currently 453 leagues. You are only searching 3! Very low odds that the team that bought that card would be in one of your leagues. There's a decent chance that someone who spent big PP would be in diamond. There are 20 of those leagues. Are you in any?

Sure only if it has acquired stats. That was my reason to see it was to see how it was performing. See, I was wondering why a player I know I bid on and lost wasn't showing up. This card was actually the 1st card that I knew existed since the start of PT that I couldn't find in a search. Am just curious to how it's doing.

Please sent screenshot...I'm excited to get it one day as I strongly prefer using players from just one team. Don't win championships often but it's awesome trying to beat others with mostly lesser roster

I was told a few years ago that even though I'm in say a Silver league the AH links to every universe in PT, not just the one you in. A member of PT team told me this & that's why I as confused why I couldn't find it. I know about all the other leagues but doesn't the AH link to every universe?

I think the confusion comes from how the engine searches.

To buy/sell players = universal
Looking at how players perform = limited to your own league.

The Auction House is universal, but it will only show cards that someone has listed. I am currently looking for a Greasy Neale, but even if there are 500 of them in someone's hands, if no one puts them up for sale, they will not show up in the Auction House.

Player Search is different and is limited to the league your team is currently in. I cannot search for Neale and be shown every team that has him, only if he is on the Active or Reserve roster for one of the teams in my current league.

Yes, the auction house is universal. But, you can only see cards that others have put up for auction. A rare card might not be up. Or a in-demand card may get listed and bought within seconds. So, you might not see it when you look.

The search box is ONLY for the league you are in.
