Drafting is FUN. Should you grab a back up catcher in the last bronze or hope there's an Iron there for emergencies? uncertainty and decision making are fun for me.

there's a couple of arch type teams that seem to work - but regardless you will end up with some clunkers and that's fun!

Way to go with this format - I can't think of anything I'd change.

EDIT:
HOLY CRAP I've been a forum lurker since 2003 and this is my 3rd post - I must like it!
I agree. I love the uncertainty.

I hope there is no decrease in randomness and no added visibility on future rounds. Drafting to have a team that can survive a lopsided card mix in the final rounds is part of the fun.

That catcher decision is a great example. I rarely go into the iron round without my two catchers, and I reckon I've missed out on about half the occasions I've decided to risk it. Of course, there will be four catchers and no utility infielders on other occasions...

I hope later versions include mixing up the tier structure a little - i.e. have some tourneys that have more high tier cards (e.g. more golds, less bronzes) and some with more low. Obviously all teams would get the same tiers, but it could change from one tournament to the next and maybe not even be revealed until you start to draft - so you can't have a static formula like "always have four pitchers by the end of the gold rounds".

My wildest idea to mix it up would be to have some tourneys with the tiers drafted in reverse - with the perfect round last. So you need to start building a flexible team that you can upgrade. And on the perfect card you're deciding "do I take the SP to replace the bronze guy I have as a #5 SP, and move that guy to the 'pen, or do I take Mike Trout despite already having a silver CF, because that guy can move to RF".

Did someone mention this before? It seems that one user has 4 licenses? This is the daily perfect for Frank Snyder. I am sure this is legit, but suspicious none the less. There are two in the big weekly tourney as well.

I guess with richer tournament rewards and the costs of playing this game, it's worth getting multiple licenses? Lansing just makes it obvious, but I am sure others can do this as well?

Wonder if steam version makes this easier?

I seem to be better at Perfect Draft than the ordinary tournaments. My PP stash is growing

I love this game mode. As a F2P player, it has helped me win rewards without being at a disadvantage to those whales who can build ideal tournament teams and juggernaut PT teams. It has also allowed me to try out different strategies and to scout out players that I may want to target for my perfect team or tournament teams.

My only wish is that I could sign up for more than one at a time, as long as they are different types. One weekly, one daily and one quick

I regret signing up for a DOD tournament that won't fill. Wish I can withdraw.

I think this is my favorite mode right now for tourneys.

It's the reason I bought the game.

Wish packs can become a reward as well?

With the update to 64 teams, many of the perfect drafts are not filling. Filling has been an issue in the past for some, now it’s worse. Let us have 2 perfect draft teams at a time?

The not filling issue is very annoying. You should also be able to join at least one Quick, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly at a time.

or just start registration like a few hours before they start. that way you don't have to sign up for one and play 0 perfect drafts until the weekly/monthly/whatever starts.

I’m greatly enjoying the experience. It is a wonderful mental exercise to start the day.

I’m considering doing a PTD video dynasty (or vlog, I guess). I actually made one an hour ago, but there was a mic issue that made me nix that video (though I’ll link it below, unedited).

I’m wondering if there is an interest in my doing one. I’m not an expert by any stretch…which actually might make it more interesting for people. I don’t know. But it would be cool to do (and do different challenges, team-building strategies, etc.).

Here is a link to the video I made. It’s long, because I also looked at a team I drafted that placed 2nd in a 64-team, but had no business doing so.

(I also recorded it on my iPad, so it’s OOTP Go. I’d be varying between that and my laptop, depending on where I am. The overall format of reviewing the last draft and then drafting won’t change, but I can’t look at roster rankings and such on the iPad.)

(Oh, obviously, it’ll be shorter than 37 minutes. Ideally, I’d have it at around 20 minutes, cutting out the dead time between picks, load times, etc. But this included my going over my insanely lucky 64 squad too.)

It was great over the weekend pretty much always having one or two perfect drafts in Quick signup status so that you could join and have it fire off within an hour. Now this morning, it seems back to normal with at least an 8-10 hour wait.

Were there extra tournaments offered for the 4th of July as a promotion? Any chance of bringing it back or at least doing something to reduce the wait times?

Could these fire off as soon as they're full? Does anyone actually use those 8 hours to tweak their lineups?

I haven’t noticed an 8-10 hour wait in any of the tournaments I did. I did four yesterday. Maybe an hour wait, but I did two in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one last evening.

I should have specifically mentioned tournaments with cards as prizes.
Currently, the first one with open spots available is at 21/32 and fires in 11 hours, 47 minutes. It will almost certainly be full by the time it reaches the 10 hour countdown.

Ah, okay. Out of curiosity, do you prefer those kind of prizes? If so, why?

I do prefer the tournaments with Cards, mostly because I'm a collector and want to try to get an many of the different cards as possible and the only way to get these is through Tournaments.

Tournaments with a 1st prize of 2K PP don't really do anything for me. I can get that a lot easier by watching a stream for a half hour.

I wind up playing a mix though because it's frustrating to sign up for a tournament, then have it sit idle for 11 hours. I also like to watch the results and maybe tinker with my lineups depending on matchups and fatigue, but that's difficult since 11 hours in the future, I'll probably be sleeping, at work, or otherwise busy with something else.
