Trying to auction cards

Almost all of my position players are not able to be offered up in the auction house? Does anyone know why? and what do I need to change to be able to get so I can offer them up for auction?

If you used them to complete missions, they are forever locked to your team. Also, if you do not have enough players on the active/reserve, you need to activate someone from inactive and that should change it.
