Hey guys, I am very new to Stats+. I was wondering why there are discrepancies between Stats+ and OOTP 22? Stats+ tells me a players development has increased "contact from 45 to 50" (using my scout, not OSA). OOTP (scout) doesn't have any development update on this guy and he is still at "contact 45"???


Every player is the same. Stats+ has dev. changes, OOTP hasn't changed at all.



Which do I believe?

Speak with Dave to confirm this, but I believe S+ has its own calculations in this regard that differ from OOTP. In-game, I rely on the OOTP figures and TBH don't pay much attention to this one element of S+. They also use different metrics for some of the other "Advanced" stats that differs from OOTP.

Fantastic product, nonetheless!

I am hoping Dave changes his policy on only Major League levels being able to be given prominence so my ACBA looks a bit more representative of what the league is about.

So what's probably happening, and Dave can confirm, is the data that comes out of the game has player ratings on a 1-200 scale. Dave has to then convert that to whatever scale you're using. Relative Ratings turned on could also impact this. The discrepancy you're seeing is probably someone on the verge of a threshold (between 45 and 50 for example) and differences in how OOTP and S+ converts the 1-200 rating to the chosen scale.
