TITLE BOUT CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING
List of Features: • Three thousand rated fighters, each fighter rated in over three dozen categories, including power, punching accuracy, defense, tactics, clinching, moving, and chin. • Fighters include active and inactive fighters, covering all divisions in boxing, from heavyweights to minimum/strawweights. • All new static graphics throughout the simulation • Music, sound and speech • New more intuitive and versatile interface, including the ability to access any part of the program from any other point • New rankings systems that realistically portrays a fighter’s current successes and failures, rather than his cumulative record • Completely re-worked auto scheduler that is not only more convenient to use but also much more versatile, permitting the user to put in almost any parameter by which to schedule fights • Top Ten Lists for dozens of categories • Interactive “Between Rounds” screen where the gamer can optionally allocate the amount of time spent working on their fighter’s injuries, motivating and/or instructing or simply allow the program to handle matters • More statistical tracking than ever before, including knockouts by round, knockout percentage, cumulative rounds fought, average rounds fought, etc. • Innovative “Link-Records” system allows you to click on a fighter’s name in his TBCB Record section and be taken to his actual record at BoxRec.com. • Complete control over almost every aspect of the boxing simulation, including add, edit, delete • Tournament module, allowing the gamer to set up 4, 8, 16 and 32-man single or double elimination tournaments • Conversion utility to allow previous owners to import their own fighters and records • Ability to create your own fighters from scratch • More information data then ever before, including date of birth, date of death, start of career year, end of career year, nickname, nationality, etc. • Completely re-worked commentary engine and commentary database • Punch Stats that vary from weight class to weight class – heavyweights will throw fewer punches as flyweights, but will often display higher accuracy. • Crowd noise that accurately coincides with the action in the ring; slow rounds bring a smattering of boos, while too many slow rounds result in a crescendo of cat-calls and dissatisfaction. Conversely, action rounds bring about cheers and applause and a great fight will have the crowd screaming for more! • Ability to save round-by-round commentary to text files • Ability to print records, results and more • Ability to import multiple pictures of the same fighter and assign them to his record file • “Wire” 3-D faces that quickly and accurately show the condition of a fighter’s face during and between rounds. One look and you’ll know where and how bad a fighter is cut or swelling or both • Fight Card and Betting Modules allow you to set up your own six-fight card and bet on the outcomes. Start with a modest bankroll and make millions . . .or go broke • Rated referees, corner men, cut men, and judges • . . . and these are just the highlights of the new Title Bout Championship Boxing from Out of the Park Developments |

I started to do a sort of career play with heavyweights in TF2001 but the limited abilities of the scheduler in that ended up in my shelving that project. TBCB sounds like it will be much more friendly in trying to carry out a large scale "replay" of many boxers over a career style period. A lot of real nice sounding features! Sounds like it will all be worth.

Ń "Conversion utility to allow previous owners to import their own fighters and records"
Sounds great, Jim! Just for clarification, does the quote above mean we can import "universes" from TF2001 or another incarnation of the game? Thanks for all your efforts. Really looking forward to it! ---Mark

Jim---
The features look great, a lot of which I did not expect. I have two questions: 1. How will "speech" be used in the game? I never expected this, but could see it being a real positive. Imagine having fighters introduced. 2. Will pictures be included, or we will have to download them from a 3rd party, ala OOTP? Thanks in advance.

Photos
Painter, as an avid collector of boxer mugs, I know that the game will not include pics of the fighters for obvious reasons. However, if you need photos, check out the Cube man. He's got hundreds.

OK I never post here, but I have been visiting daily for months on end in great anticipation of the release. I'm a boxing and stat junkie, and was thrilled with TF2001..flaws and all. I too had tko boxing by lance heffner, avalon hill board game etc.....and I cannot express how psyched I am for this upcoming game, and how thankful I am for your exhaustive and utterly incomprehensible attention to detail. THE LINK TO BOX-REC is brilliant! thank you!!!

![]() So the commentary will not be spoken! Only some of it like the count, and some sentences. Quote:
It will be easy to add pictures. they are linked only by their file name, which must be the same as the boxer's name in TB, following specific rules described in the manual. So if you want to add 3rd party pictures, just copy them to your harddisk. |

Fighter Pictures In TB
The images have to be named like “Lastname_Firstname_AnyIndividualCode.Extension”
The names have to be identical with those used in TB. The file type (and extension) may be BMP, PNG, or JPG. The individual code is needed to make the files shareable. For example, if you’re having three images for Muhammad Ali, and they would be named Ali_Muhammad_01.bmp, Ali_Muhammad_02.bmp and so on, and I’ld have two different pictures named Ali_Muhammad_01.bmp, Ali_Muhammad_02.bmp, we couldn’t merge them easily. (Merge means copy them into the same folder, fo example on my harddisk) If you call your images Ali_Muhammad_XY01.bmp, Ali_Muhammad_XY02.bmp and so on, and I call mine Ali_Muhammad_AR01.bmp, Ali_Muhammad_AR02.bmp, then we could merge them without problems. If the name has spaces in it like “Oscar De La Hoya”, they will be removed: “DeLaHoya_Oscar_XYZ.bmp” would be correct. The size should be 140x140 pixel. |

Andreas,
Do the pictures have to be .bmp extension, or will .jpg work?

Andreas;
Did you see my post earlier in this thread regarding importing created fighters from TF 2001 of TFCB? Can that be done? Thanks.
