Why does it have to be so confusing?

I don't understand why setting league totals and financials has to be so confusing. Why can't I simply tell the game that I want my league to be similar to year X, click a button telling game to keep those same settings as a base year after year. Same with financials. If I want financials to stay like 1978, why can't I tell the game to keep those settings year after year? People discuss league modifiers and the fact that leagues seem to shift quite a bit when simming and it doesn't seem like it should be that difficult.

If a person wants random shifting of the stats/financials through the years, just don't check the box and the game can shift as years pass as it does now.

I realize stats won't be perfect every year but when you start with era leaders around 2 and 10 years later, era's have shot up (or averages change dramatically) it is frustrating when that's not what you want.

There are separate settings for multiple features so people have the maximum choice of how to set up the game. However having the buttons for these functions scattered among the Financial, Historical, and Stats & AI tabs does seem unnecessarily in convenient.
