MLB Schedule Empty (Doesn't progress after WS) - Page 2

I'll try to sim a new one when I get home tonight. The last time, I tried re-installing the game - all the old league files were deleted.

I thought I had seen it, but I was mistaken. I simmed 10x up to 2042 tonight. Every time, when one or more teams were added in expansion, the problem happened.It never happened without expansion.

I tried turning off expansion - it simmed to 2050 without a problem.

No expansion teams = no problem.

Expansion team(s) = problem every time.

Gutted when this ruined a save a few days ago, but glad there's a fix on the way. Time to start a fresh save with expansion off, which I should have done in the first place, so I blame myself a little bit.

The save should be fixable with the workaround we posted a bit earlier in the thread.

How do you clear the schedules? I keep getting a messaging saying that schedule can only be cleared during the preseason

I’m also having an issue with the “workaround.” If I reset the 2022 schedules before the 2021 season, it does nothing, because the schedule is empty. If I sim to 2022 it never recognizes the 2021 season as having been completed, so there is never a “preseason”

You need to reset the minor league schedules that have incorrectly generated too early, not the blank major league schedule. If you do that, it should take care of things.

At exactly what point should I reset the minor league schedules?

I schedule a major league expansion 3/30/2021- teams and minor league systems are created.
Edit minor league schedule -> change year to 2022. Schedule is completely blank. For all minor league systems AAA to rookie ball. There’s a 2021 schedule, but nothing for 2022. Ive tried resetting these anyway, since u said that’s the fix, but it didn’t do anything.

Sim season. Get to December.. Try to edit 2022 minor league schedule “can only edit in preseason” sim to March, start of “preseason” now I can reset some leagues 2022 schedules, but others still say “can only edit in pre season” also at this point ive skipped a ton of events that I wanted to do (arbitration, rule 5, free agency) none of those generate notifications.

In this case what you'd want to do is this.

Just go through 2021 normally, then once the game gets to November and actually generates the 2022 schedules, stop and delete all the schedules and then let the game go again. It should redo the schedules and you should be good at that point.

The message on Nov 1 and Nov 30 when I try to clear any minor leagues schedule is "Schedules can only be cleared in pre-season"

If it helps, the schedule for minor leagues in 2022 appears blank in November...

How do I delete the minor league schedules prior to the pre-season beginning (which in the case of my Minor Leagues that have the issue is 4/10, so after the 2022 MLB season should start)?

Unfortunately, I believe the only way to clear it at that point would be to delete games manually, which obviously is not ideal.

We will have a patch for this coming out shortly, which should hopefully also be able to resolve people who are in this situation.

We're especially interested in getting a league file where this didn't happen due to expansion like fcabanski mentions, I think we have the expansion related fix already, but we'll take a look and make sure.

If you haven't gotten one yet, the league files I uploaded earlier under "Panthers 2062" did not involve an expansion. It was just the end of a year like any other.

The save advanced to the end of April, won't I have already lost a year, or is that going to reset everything back to November where it should have stopped?
