Base Coaches Question

Debating whether to upgrade to 22. I see they day you now have base coaches, but can’t find any information on how, or even if, they affect play. Can anyone help?

I'll say what my expectations of it where before actually playing. I was hoping they would help players learn new positions. So I thought I could make them work with one player to improve them.

Instead they are suppose to impact a group rather than one person. I for one haven't seen a difference with having them except for making the relationship/chemistry part of the game a lot more challenging.

I'm not at my game now, so I can't do this justice, but:

It's part of a retooling of the coaching system. Between your Bench Coach, Manager, and your two base coaches, you assign teaching responsibilities for IF, OF, and baserunning. You also assign management of the running game to a coach.

I really like it.

Maybe the topic is that is really making a difference having a bench/1st Base/3rd base Coach with legendary teaching at C, IF, OF and Baserunning??

Anyone have measured the difference between a Legendary teaching coach, outstanding, Good, Decent, fair, Poor, etc..

What does this mean? You could do this before when playing out games by turning the baserunning over to your Bench Coach. Now you can turn it over to your Base Coach. What's the difference?

Coaches now have coach baserunning ratings, and you can assign them to what I assume is help with the baserunning for each player, not just have the coaches control whether or not to send or hold a runner when playing out the games.

If you play directly, idk (I don't play directly). Maybe it impacts success. I can't say.

If you sim or watch games but don't play, the 3B Coach will take the running decision. Based on his In-Game Running rating, he'll make better or worse decisions on when to send the runner.
