For the MLB 2021 Quickstart Game, since MLB has agreed to the modified extra innings rule employed last year, is there a reason that the default for "Modified Extra Innings", under the "Rules" tab, under the "League Settings" tab, is set to "off"?

Yes. It’s a gimmick, and something that the vast majority of OOTP players want off.

I don't like it, either. It should be "on" because that's the way it is. If you don't want it, turn it off, but for realism sake it should be on. The three batter minimum is on and I hate that rule, also.

From an OOTP perspective, the three-batter minimum is a good thing because it forces the AI to manage its bullpen better...even if only a little bit better.
