File Sharing

Hey guys,
Newbie here, but had a question about file sharing a franchise. I went ahead and did a live start for today and edited all teams 40 mans, market size, and other various league settings, financials, etc.
My question is am I able to duplicate this file to send to my buddy so that we can have the same start up but different GM journeys. I’m taking the Royals and he’s taking the A’s (stadium build!). I wasn’t sure if there was a way to create a Master file and then select a team (although I selected KCR since I was editing everything)
We don’t want to do online leagues but we just want the same starting point and then seeing how the game progresses individually for us.

Thanks!

You can save your league as a quickstart. Then give a copy to your buddy. Quickstarts are saved here Z:\......\OOTP Baseball 22\data\quickstart_games

Or, if you don't mind the file size, the more complete option would be to backup your save, send the entire backup folder to your buddy, and he can restore from backup and have everything.

Quickstarts can be incomplete with graphics, etc. and the AI might mess with the roster. If file size isn't an issue, I'd go with the backup to ensure everything starts out the same

Thanks! How do we go about switching teams?

When he restores the backup on his machine, he just needs to create his own manager and choose the Giants as his team. Then he can retire the manager character that's in there (yours) and play the game out as the Giants GM.

As long as you save that backup file in a separate place, the two of you can theoretically keep restoring from it and play out as many different journeys from the same starting point as you wish. A real multi-verse situation!
