Private Messages
Ok----I've had quite a few private messages from fellow board members asking me about yesterday's blow up, meltdown, or whatever we can refer to it at. How about "Black Monday?"
Let me keep it simple: a message was posted here yesterday that I thought was directed at me and anyone critical of the game. It was my mistake--or if you will, my misinterpretation that caused some of the mess. Add in this with some people who just couldn't help but pile on, and a few others that were preaching that they were above all the critical remarks (hypocrites), stir to a boil, and you had one angry Panther. I have been since contacted by Jim and he and I were able to correspond last night and as of now, everything is settled. I have deleted some of the posts that I regretted posting, and left a few up that I do not, in anyway, regret. You want to judge me without knowing the facts, well that is fine. Put me on your ignore list, it's kool, but I think most of you that know me, know that I follow this sport as much as the next guy; I know its lore and history and have added, at least a little bit, to posts concerning boxing and boxers. I'm going to leave it at that.

I completely support Pitt Panthers post. We resolved any confusion in a mature and gentlemanly fashion. He has legitimately complained about two issues: (1) the constant delays; and (2) the decision to postpone the role-playing portion of the game. Neither of those are forbidden topics.
At the risk of utter redundancy, we encourage constructive criticism; we understand that is how a product is improved. We don't enjoy but understand post about the frustrating delays. All we ask is that the venting doesn't take a personal turn. We may be incompetent (acceptable) but we're not liars and we are not Hitler - actually, Tom and I are of Italian extract so Mussolini would be more accurate, I guess! LOL. Let's talk boxing. An upcoming list of features and complete list of fighters to be included should give all of you something constructive on which to comment. Both lists should be posted within days. |

Pitt,
You've been a good guy in the past and, in light of Jim's post, I'm removing you from my ignore list. You are certainly not in the same category as the two trouble makers that started this whole blow up. I hope we can put this unpleasantness in the past and share informative posts about boxing and the new game when it comes out (very soon, I hope). By the way, Harry Greb is one of my all time favorites. They don't make em like that anymore - anyone who fought like Greb would be disqualified every other fight. |
