I live about 45 mins from Principal Park. Have never been there but I am thinking this summer I might take my daughter to an I-Cubs game and also drive to Cedar Rapids to see a Kernels game. Took her to Target Field but I wish she could have experienced the Dome. Funny thing is very first hit at Target field, we had a foul ball go about 10 rows over our head and to the left of us. So she had a great experience there lol that and also she got to watch the Bomba squad hit a few homeruns out and see the fireworks, but I do miss the Dome.

I also do remember the WGN on cable back in the day lol. I think in the morning they use to have Bozo the clown show on lol.

BTW was that 2 hours and 45 mins or 2 mins and 45 seconds? Because I know in Minnesota, that could stand for both lol. I was about 55 mins South from Bloomington when I lived up there. But by the time I was old enough to head to the Twin Cities, the MOA was already there and I vaguely remember the met center.

Funny that we are both transplants in Iowa lol.
2 hours 45 minutes. Not a transplant to Iowa, I've always lived here. Located in the NW part of the state making it an easy drive through Mankato to the cities. Or can go 90 over to 35 and up in about the same time but approx 15 additional miles. But then going that way means not slowing for any towns like St Peter, Shakopee, Savage etc. If I'm not in a hurry the scenic route is nice but... most of the time I just like to roll along. So I mostly go to 35

I lived in Le Sueur. You probably know it by the big green giant sign going down the big hill before the Minnesota River that says "Welcome to the Valley". I was in St Peter during the 1998 Tornado.

No need to slow down for Shakopee anymore, they took 169 to the south of the town and now has a nice bypass. Savage changed a lot as well because of the 169 bypass. Still kind of a pain to make it to 77 to get to Bloomington. My Dad's sister use to live in Shakopee. Their old backyard is about where 169 runs now lol. Now you just drive to the Met, park in the parking ramps at the MOA and then take the light rail to Target Field.

I know "part" NW Iowa pretty good or at least the Boji area. My Wife's parents setup at Vick's Corner every year for memorial day and 4th of July. So have spent the last 15 years going up there and learning the area lol.

Yeah, the drive by Le Sueur and the Jolly Green Giant is quite beautiful.

Been quite a few years since going that way, not surprised to here there's now a bypass. Definitely take the train from the MOA for anything in Minneapolis or St. Paul. So convneient when one comes in from Iowa.

Well I'm about 15 miles east of Spirit Lake, Okoboji. Over 15 years I would think you've eaten at The Taco House? If you like Mexican food and haven't you really should.

Back on the topic of sound mods...

I was thinking "batter, batter, batter, swiinnng batter" from Ferris Bueller for Wrigley would be cool. Possible to pull that audio and make a mod?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM6z2LiR0PI

Just hit me this is a HR sound thread. Hope ok to ask for a "atmosphere" mod?

Nope, have never had tacos up there, Love Koffee Kup and then also Woody's in Estherville. Use to eat at Remington's in SL but that place has gone downhill.

ANYWAY! lol The file is in here https://www.mediafire.com/folder/56r...s+for+stadiums

It is set for ambient sounds so just throw it as named right into your stadium files!

Grew up on Woody's However, last I checked, it was cheaper to eat at Giordano's in Chicago Still a nice treat from time to time.

Thanks will give it a go. My favorite ambient sound mods are the "pizza guy, Here you go kid" and the beer vendor. I think they may drop to 2 and 3 once this one comes up.

I hope once past this initial release patch cycle they add a dedicated subforum for sounds. Long overdue.
